i am still single but i can't help answering this question!...
i'd like to answer on brother's behalf...he usually says in pride that his wife must be one of the greatest cooks around... he would say to me and whoever is listening ,"she is so good that i had to renovate the kitchen four times in the last 12 years!the first time ,the microwave exploded!the 2nd was because she the turkey and the overheated oven burnt through the cabinet...the third time she made a hole in the ceiling coz she opened the pressure cooker lid a little too early...the fourth time...my wife literally did burn down the kitchen...by then ,i had no choice but to rebuilt the whole thing..."
my brother did not build a kitchen.instead he just made a pantry and an outdoor grill area...there will never be any cooking done in the house...and only my brother would do the grilling/cooking...

My husband's best dish is chicken cutlets with lemon-rosemary sauce. He always manages to get the breading on the cutlets just right - I think it's all about the thickness of the cutlet, balancing the cooking time.

He also makes fantastic buffalo wings, omelets, and grills the perfect steak (with homemade spice rubs).

My mom (no wife here either) found a real easy meatloaf recipe on the back of a package of meatloaf flavoring mix. She tried it and it tasted really good.

My doesn't cook. She did early in our marriage, but she's from up North. Her food leaves something to be desired. I'm told she's considered a great cook in Wisconsin, but i just can't do it. So I do all of the cooking.

And I make some mean fried chicken.

I usually cook the main dishes her specialty is sides..mac and cheese or bbq beans.

spaghetti bolognese yummmmmmmm. with fresh grated parmasen on the top and some hot thyme and garlic bread. oh yum now im hungry thanks a lot hehehehe
