For my final research paper, I wrote about the Knights Templar. In it, I addressed some of the popular theories regarding the Knights and their well-kept secrets, including those proposed in the DaVinci Code about a secret relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. It seems that there has been some growing interest in these kinds of theories, and there was even a History Channel special about it. What do you think?

For openers, I do not think the relationship between Jesus and Magdalene was kept secret at the time, but rather repressed by the church later.

I think the conspiracy theories are basically about the church, not Jesus himself. That is, that the church has had control over certain information, and suppressed facts which contradict the doctrine they have promulgated, or which threaten their power. This is basically about the Catholic church, since it was the only Christian church for such a long time.

Such "conspiracy theories" at least border on being disrespectful of other person's religion, at least to the extent that a Catholic clearly would attempt to defend his or her church against such theories. Still, there are real questions about historical facts, and there's no denying the church had a strangle-hold on learning and the dissemination of information for a long time, even to the extent of torturing and burning those who disagreed with them.

Whether it is justice to lay these long-ago facts at the door of the modern church is another issue entirely.

The Jesus/Mary Magdalene thing has been around for years, long before The DaVinci Code was even a thought. Last Temptation of Christ springs to mind.. I personally think that there is just so much mystery about the life of Jesus, like what did he do from age 13 to 30, that people are just naturally interested in any possible explanations. Interesting to me, at least, something I read recently about how the Shroud of Turin was actually faked by DaVinci using a camera obscura - that the image on the cloth is him, not Jesus.

Human mind is very special. If i tell you a 1000 good remarks, and one bad remark about you, you will definitely remember the bad remark for the rest of the life. Mind has a tendency to cling to negative. So there is nothing to worry, if people are finding out negativities about Jesus Christ.

I am not denying that whatever you people tell about the Knights of Templar or the Jesus-Mary Magdalene relationship. May be you are right too. Always the history were written in favor of those won. So when King Constantine tried to re-establish the Roman empire with the help of the name of Jesus and he succeeded, all the real truths may have gone under the ground.

Anyway, i do not wish to hurt the sentiments of the people who are in faith. Christians all around the world believe in the bible. So let's not hurt their feelings. After all its your faith and belief, that are going to protect you.

Anyway, i welcome the efforts from people to find out the truth. I too wish to believe that Jesus, was a great master, a great human being. Jesus was a person who took birth for teaching love and peace. Now, there is no peace and love at the very place where he was born.

I have my doubt about one fact. Christ lived at Jerusalem. Then how the head quarters of Christianity is at Vatikan? These two places have no cultural similarities. Still how did it happen? That means somebody deliberately created that Head quarter there. Who and How? May be it may answer a lot of conspiracies.

Who knows, lucky there is an historical record to fall back on. The best way to know Jesus is in your heart. No need to be in some radical religion that does not follow his wise teachings as a Rabbi. As a man, it is very hard to be spiritual and defy yourself of the love and nurture only a women can provide me, personally. Jesus must have felt the same.

It is so easy to manipulate a 2000 year story. That doesnt mean its accurate to do so. Did Jesus have a wife or girlfriend? Who cares. None of my business or it would have been common knowledge. Thats like me asking you who you're intimate with, really none of my business. Thats what I think at least. Hope your research paper when well.

"however the global is in chaos" - the arena has constantly been in chaos. "Illuminati symbolism" - among the belongings you factor out predates the illuminati, and has been utilized in quite a lot of religions in the course of historical past. As for the popstars, such a lot of them simply feel "it is cool" and do not know (or care) what deeper meanings such matters have. As for the Illuminati itself, it is a fine bedtime tale in the event you like speculative or exchange historical past fiction. But it is not anything greater than that.

Jesus and religion were created as a way to create fear and panic among the masses. The threat of eternal damnation is an awful good way to get people to behave.

You are making student people foolish of those false theories. If you say theory it should be the truth, the true theory where everybody could learn. Your theory is no longer theory but imagination from another person.

I think, as a Christian, that most are false. The Da Vinci Code was entertaining, but left a ton of holes.
