It's almost unbelievable! But it was also prophesied. Religion is man-made, true christianity is God-made. There are so many that will agree with scripture until it doesn't line up with their church.

I am well aware that there are a few that will actually believe in the scriptures. But very few.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matt 7:13-14 (KJV)

Because no one wants to think their church is wrong. I've noticed this too. The bible IS the authority for all Christians. If your church doesnt follow the Bible, you need a new church. Don't put religion before the word of God.

king: Because of dogma - doctrine. Doctrine has always been a source of contention among churches. This is why you have Catholicism, Protestant, Lutheran etc. Lest we forget though, ALL Christians are part of the body of Christ ! Doctrine shouldn't be the focal point but demonstrating love for one another. " For all men shall know of me ... if you have love for one another" - these are the words of of Lord and Master. Have a good day and peace to you.

Many are called, but few are chosen.

People who refuse to believe, and have hearts harder than the atheists on this site, go to "church".

Jesus encountered them too. He warned against becoming like them. The answer is love Jesus, live by his word, and encourage everyone else to do the same. Leave the rest up to Him.

Grace is Amazing.

Depends on what type of church they go to. I am a youth leader at my church. I study the Bible deeply, and look at it in it's original context (Greek, Hebrew, etc.). I run across a lot of people that can even accept verses that are written as clear as day in the Bible. I think they are like this because they go by only what the man at the front of the church says. Many people are on their way to hell because of this.

Hmm I'm curious what kind of resistance are you getting? Most people I see on here are more than happy to list scripture...some go as far to copy and paste half the bible
