yes you are precious to God. Don't believe that lie that you are not. it just takes one easy step. just say Father I love you and I have sinned against you please forgive me.
I also teach every now and then I hope this helpes you get back to Him. just think of me as giving you directions at your local gas station. I hope I also fill you up as well.
AM I back slidden?
Backsliding is when you loose touch with God. (drift away)
In need to repent.
Run away from God.
Loose trust/faith in God.
You feel God will not take you back.
Conforming to the ways of the world.
You don’t feel saved or you feel in trouble with God.
Willingly sin against God, or becoming so desensitized to sin, and find it hard not to sin.
Heaven feels out of reach/ or loose desire for Heaven
Examples:
You fear that it’s too late to run back to God.
When you are use to sinning you feel, think or “act” like that’s all you know.
Don’t know how to pull away from it or feel you are not ready to change from -ex:
Fits of anger
Sexual immorality
Gossip/complaining or any bad habit.
Too much Guilt or false guilt.
guilt vs faulse guilt:
Guilt is when you have remorse from what you did against… (God).
Not all guilt is good.
False guilt is when you feel guilty when there is no reason to.
When you say no to someone who takes advantage of you and feel like you shouldn’t have is an example of false guilt.
When the Devil nags on you for something you repented from and you feel guilty all over again is another example of false guilt.
When you apologize for your sin, repent and mean it and the Devil or someone brings it back you should not feel guilty because you have already repented and been forgiven. You have to trust that God forgave you and move on.
Real guilt is when you actually sin and feel remorse which is good, that means that you are sensitized to sin and lets you know that you have God in you guiding you.
Thats no Excuse!
Not being ready to change and repent is a good excuse for being backslidden? Most certainly not!
God is always there ready to change you, love you, forgive you, and give you another chance.
God knows your heart and if you feel Him tugging on it; That means He wants you back and you need to repent.
If your not ready for change or just plain turn your back on Him; you may go through some stuff not so good.
That is what forgiveness is there for. (Why turn your back)?
Why is it dangerous?:
You will wind up in a rut.
When you don’t run to God you will run to other things you might call idols, or the enemy will find you. He is like a lion pacing waiting for you to fall so he can devour you.
When you are a believer you under a shield with God.
God does not punish you for your actions but there are sometimes consequences to your actions and you will eventually have to answer to God.
When you leave that shield there is nothing God can do to protect you. (God gave us free will).
You will question your faith/ salvation.
What is scary is that there is a chance that you are not saved when you are consumed to the ways of the world.
If you are saved God does not let go of you and will at some point draw you back.
Identifying backsliding:
Find unnecessary reasons why you don’t want to go to church or other Christian gatherings.
Christian music/people/and talk gets annoying
To busy or afraid to pray?
Your living in sin and you could feel dirty or ashamed but feel stuck in it or “plugged in.”
Example another Christian will address you are doing something wrong but you don’t want to hear it and wind up in an argument.
Do not be yoked with unbelievers!2 Corinthians 6:14-18
You can only serve one God. The Living God!
To serve unbelievers what will you have in common?
You could either live for them or for God. You cannot have 2 masters.
To whom shall you seek approval?
Our God is a Jealous God. (Check Exodus)
When you are ungodly you naturally don’t want anything to do with God.
How can you hang with the ungodly when you are godly and claim you live for Him alone.
Bible Verses that could help you
2 Timothy 2:13-26
James 3:5-7
James 4:1-12
Be Holy- 1 Peter 1:13-25
Live for God- 1 Peter 4:1-6
Last days, WWJD
1 Peter 4:7-11
Suffering for being Christian- 1 Peter 4:12-19
Jude 3-16
Avoid Backsliding
Hebrews 2:1-4
Also use your God Given wisdom (Common sense)
Test the spirits:
1 John 4:1-6
2 kinds of wisdom James 3:13-18
If you stay spiritually alert you can sense a true spirit of God.
YOU ARE NOT BACKSLIDDEN WHEN:
You are accepting to the unsaved or Love them. they are your neighbor and God says to love your neighbor as yourself.
When you hang out with someone who is unsaved. So they too may have a chance to get saved. Jesus did, but like Jesus you should remain unchanged. Don’t be yoked with those people.
Your not perfect and you do sin but you are forgiven.
It is not ok to sin. We are human but we do have to try not to sin and repent continuously and keep constant communication with God. (Prayer) Grow in The Lord.
Satan wants you to believe the opposite:
When you are Backslidden you need to go to The Lord ASAP. That’s what salvation is there for. Jesus is our counselor.
Satan wants us to believe that it’s either too late or God is not ready to forgive you yet and to stay out of God’s way.
When you are backslidden you to repent ASAP, and God is always ready to forgive.
Satan says that you might as well keep doing what your doing because it’s too late for you to change because your too weak and God’s too mad to help you.
Unfortunately Satan knows the bible better than we do and knows how to altar it because he is the king of lies and good at deceiving. That’s why we need to read the Word, Church Helps, Grow with other Christians. We need to Grow in the Lord. The seed is the Word of God. Let us plant the Seed into the good soil of our hearts and others and GROW.
Holy Spirit, it does your body good:
Your Spirit is just like your flesh. You need to feed it.
If you feed your spirit more than your flesh your chances of backsliding is lesser.
All of us have a hunger and the enemy has the junk food like distraction and habits. And those of us that have ADD are at a higher risk of the junk.
Also when you feed your spirit you will get stronger in many ways.
Is it too late if I am backslidden?
NO!
But I did…. Bla bla bla bla bla…
It doesn’t matter what you did. REPENT and God shall set you free. The TRUTH will set you free. God is the TRUTH!
AMEN!

Seeing a psychologist is not against the Christian religion. It sounds like you are really struggling.
No problem is too big for God to solve. That's why He gave people differences. Some of those people learned how to help others.
I see a psychologist and when things in my life are hard, I ask for prayer from several churches and several close friends. Combined, this has worked for me.
If God didn't want us to seek psychological help, He wouldn't have told us to help each other. Once you have resolved the anxiety disorder, you will be able to use your God given brain to help you with your problems.
You sound like a good person who is trying to find a way to overcome some serious and difficult problems. You sound like you really want to work through these problems.
Say a prayer and then take the first step and get some professional help.
I will keep you in my prayers. May God bless you and guide you through this difficult time in your life.

I cant really understand your problem cause you aren't speaking that clearly but it sounds to me like you need to work on your relationship with God. He CAN heal, he CAN do anything he is the greatest. Trust in him and he will guide you through your hardhips. Know that he does n't love anyone more than you. Whatever it is you are going through now is all for a reason, you will be stronger when it's through.Go to church, talk to a pastor. but more importantly talk to God he is listening. You may even want to talk to a therapist. Don't hide your issues from your friends either, if they are truly your friends they care about you and love and will want to help you. I wish you the best.

Honey, i doesn't matter what you have done, what you have thought, whatever bad thing you have done, want to do, etc, etc, etc..... JESUS LOVES YOU WARTS AND ALL, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!!! SIMPLE!
Satan however, is filling your head with all these negative thoughts and feelings, he is trying to drive you mad big time!. He will get into you anyway he can, by anyone he can use to get to you. Satan wants your soul, he wants you dead and off this planet anyway he can. If that means driving you mad making you feel homosexual ways, whatever, he will use it!
GET THE BOOK BY JOYCE MEYERS " BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND" It's brilliant and will help you like it helped me.
God bless and hang on to Jesus. Oh, and praise and worship Jesus now, when you do Satan hates it and will run from you.
What the devil knows is whenever you open that mouth of yours and start praise and worshipping God for the good things he has done for you in your life, even though you can't see it now, that will blow Satan's kingdom to hell and out of your life. Start doing it now! put some worship music on and scream out and sing in the spirit you will see the power that will have over your mind and body, it will heal you from the things that are happening to you now, what you have written above.

Honey, do you have enough money to see a psychiatrist, psychologist, or counselor?
I've watched you for some time and know that you are struggling terribly, desperately.
For me, please, *I* need you to go to a counselor to get some help with this. That is why God put them there. To help you. (Don't be like the guy who asked God to help him, then had a fit when God didn't personally scoop him up. God works through other humans. That is why they are here.)
Do not reject what I, yet another one of God's helpers, am telling you. Accept my thoughts. Accept human help. You must. That is what God wants you to do. That is how God is planning to help you.
This is what you need right now.
I will EXPECT a report back from you saying you have found someone professional and have made your first appointment.
Please. Please-please-please, heed me. Please. Do this for me.

I rarely quote things here, but a Calvinist minister named Jonathan Edwards wrote more eloquently than I in this matter. Consider this was said over 200 years ago and still rings true today. He said:
What are you afraid of, that you dare not venture your soul upon Christ? Are you afraid that he cannot save you; that he is not strong enough to conquer the enemies of your soul? But how can you desire one stronger than the “mighty God”? as Christ is called, Isa. 9:6. Is there need of greater than infinite strength? Are you afraid that he will not be willing to stop so low as to take any gracious notice of you? But then, look on him, as he stood in the ring of soldiers, exposing his blessed face to be buffeted and spit upon by them! Behold him bound, with his back uncovered to those that smote him! And behold him hanging on the cross! Do you think that he that had condescension enough to stoop to these things, and that for his crucifiers, will be unwilling to accept you if you come to him? Or, are you afraid, that if he does accept you, that God the Father will not accept him for you? But consider, will God reject his own Son, in whom his infinite delight is and has been, from all eternity, and that is so united to him, that if he should reject him, he would reject himself?

In Psalm 116 it says that God's loved ones are precious to Him. That is a verse you can claim. Understand that when Jesus carried that cross, He carried all of our hurts, pains, and sins. If we are burdened and overwhelmed with sin or hurt in our life it is because we are choosing to carry this burden alone. The solution is to give EVERYTHING over to Christ. Let Him carry it for you. Then do all that He leads you to do after that point.

Dear child of God, There have been many very good answers here. I will add this... If you seek God with all your heart, He will reveal Himself to you. He loves you as much as He loves anyone who is here now,who has been before or who will be in the future. You see God has a love so great that it is hard for humans to understand . He loves you no matter what you have done. Pray that He will come into your heart and He will.. Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so! We love Him because he first loved us!!!

First off just remember that are sins won't separate us from God but are unwillingness to come to him with Christ as our Lord and Savior and ask for his forgiveness will. You can't out sin the forgiveness of God through Christ Jesus. In my personal experience I never trust my "feeling" when it comes to spiritual matters. I just trust in God and believe he will make me into what he wants me to be. Talk to him...he'll listen.

I have Great News for you! God loves you so much! He loves you so much that he brought all of those things into your life, anxieties, your enemies, friends that don't support you. Why is that good? Because look at where you are now? You are reaching out to Him. Your question wasn't posted in the psychology section. You didn't headline your question simply, "What to do?" You titled it TO ALL CHRISTIANS!
God knew who you were before you were even conceived. He knew what foods you liked, what your favorite color was, what you were going to do with your life! He has every one of the hairs on your head numbered. Why? Because He loves you so much! Who else do you know has taken the time to number every hair on your head? God loves ALL of His children that much.
Do you want to know how I found out that God loved me? My wife cheated and then left me, I was never allowed to see my step kids again, I became homeless and I lost my job. I started drinking, engaging in perverse sexual relations.
But God picked me up out of the gutter. You see, when we are down to the lowest that we can possibly go, there is no place to look but up, and there He is. I told Him, "Lord, I can't be forgiven, because I have done terrible things. I knew I was doing them and that they were sinful but I did them anyways. How can I do all of these terrible things and you still love me?" and he said, "Patrick, I knew you were going to screw things up. I knew it ten years ago, I knew it 100 years ago, I knew it a long time ago. That's why I sent my son. He paid for your sins. You get off scot free! That's how much I love you, and all you have to do, is accept it, and repent. Get to know me a little better too, because I know you so well, I just want you to know me the same way."
When we surrender our need for control, the need to know, the desires that shouldn't matter, God will work his way in our hearts. You can have a relationship with God. You are one of his children. You will still lose friends, and maybe even family because they won't get what's going on in your life, or maybe they aren't meant to be a part of it. But God will fill in the gap that they create, either with Jesus or with others who will be there to support you. Call out to him. He is listening. He is right beside you, even right now. God loves you, we love you. I will pray for you.
