Trinity - 1 God who is 3 Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Tritheism - 3 Gods
Unitarianism - 1 God who is 1 person
Triad - A group of 3 individuals

Trinity is the term used by historic Christianity to express the nature of God. People who do not understand the trinity sometimes accuse Christians of tritheism - believing in 3 gods. In response to that, Unitarians and Oneness Pentecostal emphasize the unity of God - that God is one person, not three.

The "tri" as the first of a word means three...tri...as in tricycle.

Unitarianism has no relationship to the other words - "uni" means united, or as one.
