If I witnesses a serial killer period I'd tell the news reporter...who cares what he is quoting...it apparently doesn't apply to him

Would I tell the reporter that he was...I don't honestly know. I think the fact that I saw him killing someone would be what I would be the most focused on

I'm going to answer yes. But honestly, what do you want to hear after asking a question like this? Do you honestly expect that someone is going to say no? And in what circumstance would this kind of situation be plausible, or remotely realistic? Should we really be concerning ourselves with hypothetical serial killers quoting bible verses in a crowd full of Christians? It's like asking a bunch of Atheists whether they would tell the police if they saw a wanted fugitive who was quoting Richard Dawkins.

I would tell the police and let them decide what is relevant. Any parrot can quote words and phrases that doesn't make him human. Likewise if the killer was quoting from Chairman Mao's red book would this make him an accurate representation of all atheists? Nice try. ( I should add for humour sake after reading someone Else's question only if he quoted from the King James because I refuse to consider any other). One final note. Is the purpose of this question to convict this person for quoting scripture or for killing? Okay one more final note it amuses me to some degree to ponder which verses the person may be quoting as they run around annihilating others.

If I was witnessing a serial killer murdering someone I would try and stop him or her.
If I was unable to, and I was asked about the event then yes I would tell the truth. The fact He or She is quoting scripture does not shake my faith or probably anyone elses. I also do not see how it would affect people, since just because someone says they are doing something "in the name of God" does not make it true.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. (James 2:19)

(A serial killer quoting the bible, is still a serial killer! The books that you read, does not change the man that you are; those decision come from with in!)

Jesus didn't call Christians to kill he called them to lay down their own lives for others. If anyone quotes scripture and commits murder they are quoting scriptures they don't understand and I would definitely report their crimes and would not exclude the fact that they were quoting scriptures.

expensive Sagelc, All honest and honest biblical pupils, I easily have dealed with, choose their expenditures very intently quite whilst it comprises quoting the Holy Scripture. For they understand the intensity of richness and the cost of those inspired words of God which has been written down. maximum people who only study the Bible with out acceptable guidance are quoting it recklessly and frequently only prefer to apply the quote to extra healthful our very own concepts and comments. by way of doing so, we the common familiar Christian are doing the precisely an identical undertaking as you're, quoting the bible out of its acceptable context. So, don't experience undesirable or indignant whilst some human beings asserting which you're quoting out of its context. through fact, the guy who suggested this is very probable applying his own opinion and thought through fact the factors for what's the right context or no longer. only as countless the non-Christian like to apply their psychological delight to set his or her own understand-how of the Holy scripture through fact the factors for what's the context and what isn't. could the Lord Bless You!

Maybe, it depends. I do not think that I would ever be comfortable on the news though.

But, I would call the police. Oh, and I agree with Silent One.
