Jesus told Christians to pay their taxes. The church accepted tax exemption in exchange for their silence in politics. Now they have fully immersed themselves in politics without giving up the tax exempt status which is illegal. Shouldn't the church just pay their taxes rather than lie and sneak around pretending that they are not involved in politics?
Dr. Kennedy of Coral Ridge even went so far on the radio as to tell Christians that it was a sin to not vote based on Jesus statement to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and then said it was a sin to vote for anyone who supports abortion. In other words, it's a sin to not vote for George Bush who was running for president at the time.
I bet he still doesn't render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's. The Bible says to abstain from all appearances of evil. The Nazarene church I used to attend would let local candidates come in and use the pulpit to spew their false promises. Shame on them!!!
