I am in a group with some people who are stuck in the victim mentality. I was wondering if anyone knows of any christian books or bible studies that our group could do to help these women realize they have this mentality and snap out of it.

We've done the "Boundaries" book which touches on it slightly. They all think they are "stuck" and can't get out of the hole they've dug themselves into. I'm looking for ideas to present to our church to get approval. Anything we have our group study needs to be approved by the church.

Try 3abn.com there are allot of links in there and I recall some mental health ones. Good luck.

Perhaps giving them a package of recipe cards, on each one they write their name on it and..I am name a beloved child of God and I am not a victim.. something like that a bunch of the all over their house.

Sly: The solution lays in your faith in God to change them - not you to change them. You can only change yourself with God's help. The truth is that most people are beyond human help and require God's Holy Spirit and grace to enable him or her to make those changes. Requires plenty of time and patience because spiritual growth is a lengthy, SLOW process. Pray for them and offer them a listening ear.

No, no, dear. You don't need Christian books for that. You need Cosmopolitan magazine for that.
