I think there is some energy at work that powers this existence, but I reject the idea of a personified God. It was recently suggested that we, collectively, make up God. I think that is a fascinating concept. If that were true, then the whole idea of good and evil is nothing more than a steering mechanism to determine the shape of the future, right? What do you think?

Peace!

God is a psychological creation by humans to place their hopes, beliefs, and expectations in. I believe that we create a god for personal comfort and hope. The sad part is that People mass market religions so much that Jesus has become the face of the whole "God" concept which is ridiculous. People must be given the opportunity to create their own "god" because that will only make them stronger and more confident in themselves

Since over 3/4 of the worlds population believe in some type of religion, then yes there is a god, who that god is depends on the belief.

READ A BOOK OF SCIENCE-PHYSICS AND EARTHS HISTORY-NOT THAT BOOK OF LIES- WHICH HAS BEEN REVISED BY MAN, AND CAN BE INTERPRETED BY ANYONE A MILLION DIFFERENT WAYS. When 911 happened a christian said-the lord said it was their time.A lame way of comforting oneself, when no one knows the answer what happens after physical death. i have faith we may go on to another dimension or realm, but it is a concept on our physical level of thinking. you can look to a tree as your higher power, as some do in AA. As long as you have faith in something greater than yourself. We are all part of nature{starstuff} as Carl Sagan so profoundly put it. Go with your gut, not the narrow minded thing of........by the way, which god.?..Budda, Muhammed, Alah, people have killed in wars over these silly differences in beliefs, jews versus christians versus muslems, the list goes on.Also, according to which belief system you study, if you sin in a particular way, you will burn and rot and be dammed for all eternity......this is a god that is all loving and all forgiving?

God, the creator, is the source of all existence; whether you feel it or not.

Auron is mistaken. The knowledge of God predates the coming of Christ by several thousand years. Every culture has worship of deities, no matter how errant they may be.

Only in modern times has man been so arrogant that he believes his "science" has rendered God non-existent. Science has done no such thing, and in fact the number of scientists who ardently believe in God is increasing daily.

To the Atheists - "No" ! To the Christians "Yes" ! Science has stated that Pluto was a planet (now, it isn't considered one) and religion tells us that man will ultimately arrive at the point where, unless Jesus Christ returns to this earth - man will destroy it. Does God exist?

If I have a picture in my head of a house I want to build, does the house exist? What if I have a plan drawn? Does it now exist?

Lol if I had a penny for every one of these topics...

NO! Science tells us that if there is no evidence for a cause and there is no way you can sense something's presence with your five senses, it doesn't exist.

And if you hadn't been informed by christians, you wouldn't have known 'God' in the first place!

nope , i dont think so . i think i want proof before i would belive in that . it is very vague to agree upon. i think dis discussion is pointless because none of us are goin to agree with the other person ( the one who belives in god)
