Sure, let's create a universal religion every couple of years then....religion is not about changing to fit the situations of the times. society should not create religion, religion creates the society.

cape: Interesting enough, the ancient Israelites - the Jews were given a Law to follow re:"follow all the rules" and were forbidden to speak the name of God (considered too sacred to speak it). The tribes of their enemies around them (Atheists) were not required to "believe". A very fitting answer to your question would be - been there - tried that -done that !!! (And we think we are soooo advanced !) ???
