*sigh* I know this one. Tell them not to do it! And that when a certain slot gets filled, then they have to tell the customer that they can get in at and earlier or later time. And explain to them what your average table turn time is, and there has to be room for walk-ins.

My hostesses always overbooked because they "didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings". Then I had to deal with ticked off customers. *sigh* Good luck.
