these planets and stars aren't as random as you think. He made them for a purpose which is why i believe that there are extra-terrestrials out there. God created the stars to enlighten the earth and by that i mean to enlighten the universe

You assume that we are the only beings to see the heavens. There are obviously extraterrestrials on other planets, and perhaps they feel the same way as you do.You cannot possibly say they are purposeless, because you don't know.God does not have emotion, because he/she is the inventor. Whilst the universe and other universes may seem pointless, you should know that the creator had a reason for everything in his/hers Divine Plan. Our problem is-we might never know. You are only bored because you probably haven't explored any of them. Try visiting an Observatory and look at the Universe that way.

Maybe your not seeing the whole picture. After all we can't see God unless he chooses to be seen. Now, try taking another look at those planets. For all we know they could be the places where the dearly departed spirits wait for judgment day. They have a purpose! We just don't know what Gods purpose is!

Clearly you don't own a telescope, or never looked through one.

"The heavens declare the glory of God..."

Because He is infinite, that's why -- He can create the entire universe... Why would infinity only mess around with a few stars when He can create 100 billion, and all of them different? AS C,S. Lewis, put it, All of space and time is just enough for Him to utter Himself once. How can we ask him to repeat Himself?

(NOTE: that's a paraphrase, from "Letters to Malcolm:Chiefly on Prayer" -- I've lent out my copy, so that's from memory , not an exact quote).

Genesis 1:14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth." And it was so.

There is a purpose for everything that's created. Most people find looking at the stars quite inspirational and mind boggling.

This is scientific;
for life to exist....
1)the earth is in the right age and distance from the sun
2) the sun is in right age and size.( radiation level and heat )
3) the size and alignment of other planets to
protect the earth from too much meteor shower, and gravitational balance from the sun.
4) the distance of our solar system from the center of milky way galaxy.
5) the age, size, level of radiation of milky way galaxy is in perfect condition in direct relationship to our solar system for life to exist.
6) the meteor impact on earth is in perfect amount, too much or too little, life will not exist.
7) the distance of milky way galaxy from the other galaxies has certain effect on earth.
8) the amount and space occupied by dark energy

Today astronomers see what happens when galaxies collide, observe black hole and other phenomena
Too much or too little life will not be possible. Hence, it has a purpose

AAAAHHHH!! But they are not just randomly rotating... you should watch NOVA. The fabric of space is very intricate and amazing. If the sun rotated out of it's orbit just a little it would throw off everything else and chaos would follow. PBS is your friend. :)
