Why don't people who believe their god answers prayers pray for something really useful like an integrated functional mass transit system to appear in Los Angeles?

Jesus said "if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you"
Why is it that no one ever prays for something that dramatic? Nor are such prayers ever answered. Explain.

Christians do pray for miracles that are useful. The truth is that all of God's miracles are very useful. God will not honor prayer that is out side His will and God is much more concerned with peoples souls than the comforts in this life. All of God's miracles are used to remind us that our life's are not just about us but the people all around us who are lost. The Bible states that all heaven rejoices at the repentance of one sinner and what is a greater miracle than having your name written in the Lambs book of life.

Because someone needs to pray for the wisdom to have the idea and the ability to push the project through. One person can make a difference especially if they have the Lord's wisdom to and know how to use it.

God will answer that prayer if that is the best thing that God can give to you for you to be close to Him. If not, why would He?
What you think the best for you may not be the best for you. God knows your past and future but we don't.

I have , but it just seems that the powers that be in California are taking their time about it. But think about this. Do you really think all them SUV drivers are going to give up driving everyday on our so crowded freeways to take a bus or train?

when the right people are set to make the money, they'll allow mass transit to be built. that's how it works. if the wealthy aren't going to make a buck on the public's suffering, the public keeps suffering.

Oh, I would rather pray for my children or maybe even my friend who has cancer because I have had the experience of Him answering my prayers and I like to make important requests. Maybe you could vote on something like that
