to see results you have to do cardio at least 4 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min).
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours) to optimize your metabolism - because it slows down if you eat only twice a day - it stores as much calories in fat reserves as it can because it knows its not getting much more soon.
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

For a 5'7" person you are within your height/weight ratio depending on your frame and in fact if you are a large framed young lady you are actually under weight.
The recommended way to lose weight is to eat 4-6 small meals a day. You want to have appropriate amounts of all 4 food groups, taking care to moderate your starches. Do not starve your body or you wont lose weight but rather you are more likely to gain weight as your body will store any and all forms of sugar it receives to be burned off gradually.
I suggest talking with a diatician about a healthy diet. It sounds like you have the exercise portion of a healthy life style down quite well. With some adjustments to your diatery regiment, you should be able to shed the unwanted pounds properly over several months. Healthy weight loss is no more 2-5 lbs a week. More than that is unhealthy and any weight lost will be gained back when you come off the diet.

40 pounds in two months?! It took me several months to lose that much and I was doing Weight Watchers as well as working out 5x a week which included 45 minutes of cardio exercise. You didn't mention your current weight, but you're going to need more time to lose that amount of weight. Set small goals instead. A healthy and more realistic goal is 1-2 pounds per week so at maximum 16 pounds in 2 months. Maybe 20 depending on how hard you work out and how dedicated you are. For tips and info go to Weight Watchers web site.

Never give up!! Dont be frustrated and fed up.. if youre lifting weights as part of your exercise routine, then the weight of building new muscle will keep your weight at a stand still.. You are doing everything right as far as what u wrote. You should be proud of what u have accomplished with yourself. Maybe cut the bread down to everyother day instead of daily. Truthfully, 5'7" and 130lbs. is a great build. Love yourself sweetie.. If you are very determined to lose then instead of jogging 3 times a week, find a vigorous aerobic program (likeTURBO JAM ) and do that daily.. Its a great program.. Check it out at Turbojam.com... Cheer up and let me know if u decided on that and the results as well.. Good luck and have a wonderful day...

Truthfully your weight sounds about ideal, but also realize the reason you might have not actually lost weight might be because you replaced fat with muscle. 2 meals a day is not enough food, you should eat 5-6 small meals a day to give your body a continuous amount of nutrients. Have you tried yoga on top of the weights and cardio? I advise including it in your healthy lifestyle.

5'7 and 130 pounds is actually an ideal and healthy weight.
You may not be losing pounds on the scale but you could be gaining muscle by all the exercise and weight lifting you do. Muscle weighs much more than fat so you could easily be losing fat and gaining muscle.
You may want to visit your doctor and see what his/her thoughts are on your weight. You may have some unrealistic and not so healthy expectations.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Honestly I dont think working out helps lose weight...I think it just builds muscle that gets all flabby when you get old. But also I dont think you should diet anymore...If it hasnt worked for two months it probably isn't going to! Also why do you want to lose weight? I mean who cares what you look like as long as you have friends and people who care about you...who cares what other people think right?

You're losing fat and gaining a little muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat so... But don't be so concerned with how much you weigh but your muscular build. Personally I like a girl with some muscle on her. Nothing extreme but some definition...
Keep it up ;D

No bread, fried food, alcohol, caffiene.
skim milk, egg beaters, everything light, diet, fat free, 100 calorie, lots of water.
I lost 71 lbs in 8 months
Btw, I don't think you need to lose any weight, in my opinion.
