Drinking water will help a lot. Also consuming juices and other food that contain antioxidants, such as pomegranate juice. You can also drink green tea. There is even a tea called Get Gorgeous, that you can drink and is specially designed to promote clearer, healthier skin. My best friend uses it and it works great for her.

If I were you I would look into buying a good cleanser and moisturizer. You don't have to go overboard and buy a lot of products. I'm not exactly sure why you are against using exfoliants and creams, but part of having healthy looking skin is exfoliating, and using moistuizers and acne creams, and cleansing daily... You may want to reconsider that. If I were you 'd check out the Proactive line, or Clean 'n' Clear.

A simple skin care maintenance will help. Try Skinlogics or All Clear depending on your needs. Both have 4 steps

Cleanser (use all morning and nightly)
Scrub - use this 1-3 times a week or not at all
Tonic or Solution
Moisturizer

It depends on what is causing the pimples. If it is viral then you can't do jack.

Otherwise just keep your pores from getting oily and clogged up. Unfortunately that usually involves an exfoliant. I personally just wash my face with soap and boraxo. It is cheap and works well.

Simple. And Cheap. Buy Rubbing Alcohol, Put a little on a cotton ball, There ya go. I've been using it for years, and never breakout. I love it.
