Well, with the science that we know today, it is rare, but several women every year have virgin pregnancies. Some systems actually accidentally fertilize the egg without the assistance of semen. i saw it on the Discovery Channel around 2000-2001.
Also those who know the gospels were written in greek originally also know the word for virgin can also mean the word young. Early christians stuck with the word virgin as a definition over the word young because it made the story of Jesus' birth sound more spiritual.

It's actually not that hard to believe. The hymen has a hole in it for menstrual flow. Sperm are tenacious and persistent little critters. A little male/female frottage where the guy orgasms in the right place, and there you go. An unbroken hymen on a pregnant girl. She's a virgin because she has the hymen, not because she's sexually inexperienced.
Of course, this only goes to show that you don't have to have a "divine" lover to get a virgin girl pregnant. Now, if Joseph had been knocked up, that'd be a little harder to explain.

then how do you explain Joseph's dream?
MATTHEW 1
[18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit;
[19] and her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly.
[20] But as he considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit;
[24] When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took his wife,

I'm sure Mary had to deal with people who came up with the same opinion. But both she, and Joseph, had been talked to about it by God's messengers, angels.

As human beings we have never seen such a sight. So naturally you and I will not agree on what is real. We both see a woman get pregnant, but virgins getting pregnant is not the normal behavior of a human, so we will disagree due to reason.

I believe that Mary and Joseph were messing around, but no penetration perhaps. When he ejaculated, it was near the opening of her vagina and it swam right on it during her ovulation. Then they came up with the story of immaculate conception together to protect their reputations.

Blinded by his love? In that time arranged marriages were the norm...chances are quite good that they really didn't know each other all that well yet.
I know nothing any Christian says here will convince you, so I won't try. Please try not to ask questions where you're already certain you know the answer...it just means you're more interested in attention than in learning anything.

green: Don't poke fun at things you do not comprehend. We live in a society, which dresses people up in red suits, say they drive a team of rein deers through the sky and the man in red, slides down a chimney giving presents to everyone. I elect to go for the "virgin" story - thank you !
