find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Your weight is fine. If you want to tone up add lots of lean sources of protein to your diet. That will help you metabolize fat and increase muscle mass. At your weight you may actually gain a few pounds as you tone up. Sometimes its better to throw away the scale and look in the mirror. Protein shakes may be a good source of protein since you are a vegetarian.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

you probably don't have much weight to loose, you should focus on toning you muscles. If your a vegetarian try to eat whole meals. and make a special effort to get protine into your diet.
any kind of cardio, walking, biking, swiming are great for loosing that last bit of fat, other then that just start a regular routine of crunches and other abdominal workouts.
