Herbicides generally fall into three broad categories. Ones that control or kill broad leaf weeds (or broad leaf plants in general), ones that control or grasses, and total weed control, ones that control or kill all plants growing. Most house plants are broad leaf plants but I wouldn't recommend using any type of herbicide on house plants. It is far safer and easier to hand week house plants than to use a herbicide. Start your house plants out in a weed free potting soil and you will not be bothered by weeds at all. If you are asking because your house plants were accidentally exposed to a weed killer it would depend on the one they were exposed to. I would guess that there is a good chance that they will be killed. A few days will tell you one way or the other.

It will most likely kill it. Some hormonal weed killers for lawns work by taking advantage of the fact that monocots are less susceptible to the effects of these hormones than dicots. For example, you can apply a bunch of this and have a beautiful lawn, but find out your trees are now dead. You can try to apply these types of weed killers if you are growing some type of ornamental grass, but most houseplants don't fall into this category.
