Many restaurants need hosts/hostesses & servers at this time of year also you could try Starbucks or another local coffeeshop (perks are great!). If you want to do something meaningful you could spend your summer in an Americorps program. When searching for a program in the specific service area you'd like to work in and the state you'd like to be placed in don't; don't forget to check off the option that you want summer programs. Hope this helps here's the search site:

and here's the general Americorps website:

Camp counselor, or a job in a rec department for your local town. It's a great job, you get to help kids, and basically make their entire summer if that's your sort of thing. Not to mention, it's a great way to make some easy money, get a tan, make new friends, etc.

country club banquet server is a great summer job for college student. it's good money, they always need extra help in the summers and if you do a good job they will take you back every summer and while on breaks.

another good place to check is a state park.... they always need summer help

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Answer that question and then start looking in the places where you are likely to get a job related to that dream.

Don't work at Target...they treat you like you're worthless piece of dust. Try working at like Macy's or something. Do you have any job experience? Try working as a waitor or in retail.

try working at a fast-food restaurant. NOT MCDONALD'S. Or, see if your college has stores on campus. many colleges do.
