Ok, Im gunna be completely honest with you. First of all, once a week is not "every now and then". That is actually quite often. My boyfriend drinks a little, but he hardly EVER gets drunk. Maybe once in 6 months will he get DRUNK.

I dont mind that he drinks a little, but if he came home drunk every week, we would probably have problems. I would probably say that her biggest problem with it is that she worries about you. It is a girl thing, and we cant help it- we worry about you because we know that you dont worry about yourself enough. So when you get drunk, she doesnt know if you are driving, or what kind of "trouble" you could be getting into.

So I would say that she is just looking out for you, and she is probably thinking about your future together too. She is wondering if it is always gunna be like this. If the look she gives you is bothering you, then that means that you really do care about her like you say. Now you just have to decide if you are gunna do something about it. Does she matter enough to give up your weekly drunk night. I mean, Im sure she wouldnt mind if you drank some, but maybe not get completely drunk EVERY week...

It's a good thing you asked for a womans opinion on this one because woman think very differently to men... It's these sorts of things that end relationships! It's ok to go out with the boys and enjoy yourself and it's ok to sleep on the couch... If she's put you in the dog house! Fact of the matter is that you've put yourself on the couch, you come home drunk and probably at the most sinful time of the morning.. I can tell you now that she's probably feeling the 2nd place and you may not see that you are doing this because your motives may be pure in that you just enjoy your mates company... You need to remember that you are in a relationship with someone and you've committed enough to be living under the same roof... This means that you don't live the life of a drunked bachelor because you are not a single man... You have her to consider and her to come home to!! How would you like it if she went out, came home drunk and insted of crawling into bed with the man she loves, she crashes on the couch as if you've got leprosie!!! If you want the best out of your relationship and if you love the way you say you do then you need to put her feelings first... Give her your very best! Love is like a bank account... You don't get anything out of it if you don't put anything in!!!

Well personally I don't see a problem it. My boyfriend and I go out seperatly sometimes and we both have a few drinks with our friends. No big deal We trust each other. So maybe your wife does not trust you. Maybe she thinks you are fooling around on her and thats why you sleep on the couch. Maybe next time you go out, when you come home try to freshen up a bit, use some mouth wash or brush your teeth before you go to bed. Dont go to the couch go lay beside her and just give her a kiss on the cheek and say Honey Iam home love you and good night. She may just like that and maybe you will get lucky lol.

Good Luck

Didn't see your 1st question...but there's a lot of reasons she could and probably should be pissed off at you... here are my top 3

Drinking to get drunk every time you go out IS a problem... even it's only once a week.

You are putting yourself at risk of getting a DUI, not to mention all the other kinds of trouble that can arise while intoxicated at a bar.

She may not have the same opportunity to get out of the house and be with friends as regularly as you do.

If you love your wife as much as you say you do, then you should give her the respect she deserves.

It upsets her because it is disgusting. Who wants to look at someone who is so drunk they don't know which end is up. How old are you anyways? Anyone drinking wreaks of it when they come home, it is awful. She is entitled to her opinion and if you know it bothers her and you love her and want to be with her, why can't you stop it if you aren't an alcoholic? Is drinking more important than her? You can drink but why not stop before you get wasted? No one likes to be around a drunk. Sorry.

I would be thinking why is he sleeping on the couch and not in bed with me.Has he been with another woman and he doesn't want me to smell him or maybe he is afraid i might want sex and sense he has been with someone else is won't want to touch me.Is he falling out of love with me.These are the things your girlfriend is thinking.

This isn't really an answer but its cool that you respect her in that way and love her and what not...but try 2 cut down on the drinking..on her behalf at least...or if anything, drink to a certain (LOW) amount.
