Pray it doesn't rain and check for bees living in the area.

Can be great but many challenges. Sound system necessary. Seats on grass, dirt or sand tend to tilt, carpeting helps. For music, live or recorded, many speakers help. Anticipate wind. And rain. And cold and hot. Consider bug spray if they're in the neighborhood. Depends on location and time of year. Note position of sun during ceremony, preferably to the side and not in eyes of minister or audience. Decorations may be a problem (wind, rain, sun, etc.). Check for ambient noise, such as motor vehicle traffic, airplanes, farm equipment, construction equipment and so forth. Is it a long drive for people? May need outdoor toilets. How about parking. Backyard or in the country or golf course? If the location holds a lot of weddings they will be able to tell you what to watch for. Good luck and have a great life.

I had mine at Chjimes, an outdoor wedding with 100 guest. Weather is a challenge, an alternate standby location is necessary. To give some nice ambience, get a live band.. i did, and it turns out really well. Flower deco for an outdoor wedding is essential too..

hello, as an ex registrar of marriages I can tell you that you cannot get married in any outside venue, to be a legal marriage it has to be conducted in a solid building that is licensed for marriage. But dont despair, there are now civil celebrants out there, me included, who will tell you that if you pop along to your local register office and do the legal bit ( not much involved ) you can then reinact or renew your vows wherever you want. I have performed ' marriages' in gardens, homes, forests, beaches so just type in civil celebrant in google or yahoo search and contact one of us for more help. good luck hope I have helped have a lovely wedding regards Tina x

Have a back up location for rain.
Make sure the decorations will be securely fastened.
Make sure the people aren't parking nearby (your pics will all be full of cars in the background.)
Make sure the sprinklers aren't run the night before = mud puddles everywhere.

Be sure you have a pavillion or someplace to get in to in case it starts to rain.
