Is that true? That atheists do not accept Aliens or UFOs?
I do not think that I am SO special that I am the only life in a vast universe.
Life is abundant on Earth. The laws of nature apply universally. Ergo life is abundant universally.
The thing that bothers me is the rate of travel that an alien would have to travel at to span the vast distances involved. It is possible that the life span of an alien race could be so long as to seem eternal compared with ours and a 100 or 200 year trip would not seem so long to them. We must seem to live forever to a dog or cat as we are alive when they come into our lives and are alive when they die.
If a being could live so long that they can travel for hundreds of years and not be concerned with the time it takes they must have remarkable recuperative powers. Maybe even remarkable enough to be crucified and recover?
Or maybe they have found a way to time travel and not have to worry about the time it takes to traverse the hundreds of light years between planets

Diane's reply says "there is no credible evidence supporting alien life of any type.."
Of course there are many hoaxes and incredible theories, but how about this?
(1) The Disclosure Project gathered over 400 US government, military, and intelligence community witnesses who have testified to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret. Read more at http://disclosureproject.org/briefingpoints.htm
(2) Steven Lovekin (Brigadier General, White House Army Signaling Agency) said that while stationed at White House 1959-1961, was extensively briefed on UFO reality, shown crash debris from 1947 New Mexico crash with 3 to 5 alien bodies recovered, told people had been assassinated to maintain secrecy, and he and other Signal Corps members heard President Eisenhower rueing how control of the situation was being lost by the government and taken over by private corporations. (part of Eisenhower's military-industrial complex warning). (3)(4)

The Universe is an immense place there is the possibility of life on some other planet somewhere I have no problem with that..
I however do not believe little green men are visiting Earth... If in the future credible evidence is found of alien life I will quite readily accept it.. If that evidence indicates aliens visiting Earth I will accept that.. At this time there is no credible evidence supporting alien life of any type..
By the way use spell check it's Atheist not Athiest.. You have transposed the e and i...

Well, I don't know what others think but for me, Once you understand the vastness of space and time you see how improbable it is. Even with technology that we can't imagine. The closet star (not the sun) is light years away. A light year is 5,879,000,000,000 miles , It would take thousands of years just to get there, even at the speed of light and according to Einsteins theory we can never go that fast. Also there is the time thing. Because of the speed of light the light we see from stars is thousands of years old. We see back in time in a way. What we see may not be what is happening now. Quite a coincidence for other alien race to get here in the right place at the right time. Not to say there isn't life else where out there. I believe there is. I just don't see us meeting up. And with our record with war and religion, I think that's a good thing,

Who says they can't?
Atheists don't believe in supernatural things. The idea of a god is irrational to an Atheist, and based entirely on faith and less on facts. True Atheists (not the ones who become that way out of necessity) believe reason and logic rule the world and universe.
The idea of aliens is entirely logical. To put it in small numbers: Our Solar System has 8 planets (sorry, Pluto) and one out of 8 has life. If there are billions, maybe trillions, of solar systems in the universe, and 1 out of ever 8 has life, that makes for a very crowded universe.
Now if the actual odds are closer to one in a million or billion, that still leaves the possibility for life.
Now common sense says that we probably haven't been visited by them yet, so more than likely they are less advanced than us.
They could be more advanced, and not wanting anything to do with us, too.
Now UFOs are easy. Those are just unidentified flying objects. Any time something flies by and you can't identify it, it's a UFO.

I'm an Atheist and I believe in Aliens. It would be foolish to think that of the 58,000,000,000,000,000,000+ estimated planets in our universe, that it is only this one that can support a lifesystem of some sort. Even if it is just bacteria.
What peole also need to remember is that the Big bang happened 13.7 billion years ago. Earth started to form 4.5 billion years ago. Other planets may have formed in that 9 billion year period. The may have been civilisations that have come and gone, also some which are just starting.
I don't believe that they come to earth an abduct people for a bit of anal probing. Surely they have more interesting things to do.

I don't have any problems with the idea that aliens exist.
It has been estimated that there are between 1 billion and 30 billion planets in our galaxy, and about 100 billion galaxies in the universe. Knocking a few naughts off for reasons of ordinary prudence, a billion billion is a conservative estimate of the number of available planets in the universe. Now, suppose the origin of life, the spontaneous arising of something equivalent to DNA, really was a staggeringly improbable event. Suppose it was so improbable as to occur on only one in a billion planets. Even with such absurdly looking odds, life will still have arisen on a billion planets - of which Earth, of course, is one.

Have you ever seen a documented case of aliens and ufo's that couldn't be refuted? Neither have I, and that's why I don't believe. Now, if there were irrefutable proof, I might change my tune.
I am talking about them being here on Earth, not another planet.

I must not be your typical atheist, because I do believe in UFOS and aliens. This is a big universe, and we have not been able to go and explore it thoroughly. So therefore, there is that possibility. BTW, I eeven believe in ghosts and paranormal.

Those of us who believe that human's destiny is out there among the stars believe there is life out there. Who are the aliens, us or them? Doesn't matter, we'll eventually find each other. As for UFOs, all can be explained as natural phenomenon or not as space craft.
