To learn.
To teach.
To help.
To accept help.
To stir the pot.
And maybe to get stired up a little myself. ;o)

I used to come on just to stir the pot but I felt like I was picking up bad Karma. So now I just give helpful answers or if I make jokes I keep them more respectful and don't make fun of people, even if they seem a little bit ridiculous to me sometimes.

Um...yes. Help for those who need help
"Stir the pot"...I actually don't think I've ever done that. I've insulted a couple of people who were "stirring the pot" but that didn't help any, even though I was right and they were wrong.

Depends on your point of view and how you, in this case, choose to view my answer.
Most times I am just trying to express an opinion, if it "helps" in somoeone's perception that is fine, someone else may believe I'm just "stirring the pot".
There are times that I am offering genuine assistance and other times I'm just trying to be funny, in the end, it is always up to the individual perceiver to make their own judgement on any given question.

muslim: I agree with you. There are quite a few trouble makers on here, who just want to stir the pot. They like to attack the people and not the question or answer posted. Peace to you.

To offer my educated opinion. To offer many years of experience and teaching. To give, not to take.
It is only my thoughts and opinions. It doesn't make them right.
Helping is the objective, stirring the pot of ignorance is the result.

I answer questions partly so that I can assure myself that all those tuition dollars were well spent ;)
I haven't actually been on here long (just discovered Yahoo Answers today), and I'm not sure how long I'll stay (most of these questions seem more like statements than honest questions, and pretty ridiculous statements at that).

I come to the site to answer questions and provide perspective (if the question allows it). And I come to the site when I have a question that I would like different perspectives on or that I desire to have answered.
Thus I come to help and to be given help.
Peace be with you.

I come here to help and to read about other ideas. That is why this forum is here. Unfortunately what I see a lot of is mockery, condemnation and judgement from all sides. Would be nice to see some mature behavior.
