My dear friend,
The only thing that I know is the present, the only reality, (The Gift - The Heaven - Words Cannot Describe The Present) I do not always dislike falling asleep and creating dreams into the past or future, as long as I do not resist these thoughts, and then create problems from them.
I have had experiences in which the present was so intense, that although objects were still objects, they were alive, even glowed, and were perfect in every respect.
For me, (the little me) what is so baffling, is that this is available whenever we choose, free, requires no effort, other than an attempt at no effort.
I am so grateful for these experiences as there is a love that exists at these moments that is so intense it permeates my very essence.
Our God, The Source, The One (or any of the other numerous labels we place on the creator, the life within all life) has a love for its existence that surpasses anything that my little self can understand. Its presence, (for me) can only be felt within my own awareness, an awareness that I share within it.
You bared yourself with your question, and I have de-robed for you.
Your friend, they named me Rick

I'll share the soul of this bread...full with its grains, sprouts and seeds that nourish your being. Those seeds bursting open, expanding to new sprouts of growth, nurtured by the Light that awakens it to life . . .
The wine is in pure form. . . grape clusters...poised above your mouth...pressed as the juices drizzle in...soaking the bread on the tongue. It's drawn in...adding full sweetness to the souls enlightenment.
The eyes open...seeing the sunlight clearly streaming as pins of light through the cool shade of the tree above. The seeds of enlightenment from the bread . . . The sweet pureness of the deep red grapes . . . Nurture and feed me as that I may nurture and feed others. . . and thus all see the soft brilliance of the Light . . .the whispered breeze that speaks . . .You are that Light in the leaves...you are that breeze...that breath. I praise your thirst and hunger for the Light. Quench your thirst and feed your soul so that you may burst into pure light...one with Thee again.

Sailing is great. Some people believe is not a sport because they never been out there in the sea. The galley is small but I'm sure I can get something to eat and drink. I can't promise a good red wine (from La Ribera del Duero) but If you like a cold beer welcome aboard.

Consider our position and why it has become this way.
A consciousness grown in form but ultimately consisting of only energy, apparently connected through a strange force we title "Gravity" that as yet is unable to be explained has progressed into its own ability to question that thing called gravity, energy and it own consciousness. Living on the surface of a spinning magnetic globe moving through space around a magnetic energy source that vibrates the the very medium of space to illuminate our experiences from the dark of chaos, all at a speed we only understand components of.
But inside the evolving conscious mind it is only dark for as long as it must be.

it is annoying to comprehend as a results of fact it nevertheless looks and tastes and scents and sounds like bread and wine. in the time of the Mass, God differences those earthly issues...the person-friendly meals from Biblical circumstances...via the strikes of the priest in the time of the consecration, into the relatively physique and Blood of Christ. in case you may study the host in a lab, it could nevertheless seem bread, yet God creates a miracle for us in each and every Mass, giving us His very own physique and blood to nourish our souls. Take and consume, it is My physique, it is My Blood. once you attempt to place this in human words, it would not make experience. yet we are speaking approximately God, no longer someone. He can create a miracle any time He pleases, and He pleases to proportion Himself with us this staggering way. On a ingredient notice, each and every species is finished communion with Our Lord. in case you in uncomplicated terms have the host, that's the physique and Blood of Christ. in case you in uncomplicated terms have the wine, it is likewise the physique and Blood of Christ.

Ordinary life and Buddhahood have no distinction. Great knowledge is not different from ignorance. Why should one seek outwardly for a treasure, when the field of the body has its own bright jewel?

Sunman, you use hunger and thirst as metaphors for the yearnings of the spirit.
But, although I am a spiritual man and I do spiritual work, my area of expertise is the body. I know just how intertwined body and spirit are.
The Buddha said that Enlightenment is of the body.
Can you, without attachment, sense how your spiritual yearning feels in your body?
What are the sensations of that?
Can you just BE with that - without trying to do something about it?

All I have to offer today are these quotes...
All from the 21st century philosopher Dan Millman.
(and from his book, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior)...
"The ones who are hardest to love are usually the ones who need it the most."
"The peaceful warrior's way is not about invulnerability, but absolute vulnerability--to the world, to life, and to the Presence you felt... a warrior's life is not about imagined perfection or victory; it is about love. Love is a warrior's sword; wherever it cuts, it gives life, not death."
“When we feel stuck, going nowhere--even starting to slip backward--we may actually be backing up to get a running start.”
“Every positive change--every jump to a higher level of energy and awareness--involves a rite of passage. Each time to ascend to a higher rung on the ladder of personal evolution, we must go through a period of discomfort, of initiation. I have never found an exception.”
“If you don't get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don't want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can't hold on to it forever. Your mind is your predicament. It wants to be free of change. Free of pain, free of the obligations of life and death. But change is a law, and no amount of pretending will alter that reality.”
“Moderation? It's mediocrity, fear, and confusion in disguise. It's the devil's dilemma. It's neither doing nor not doing. It's the wobbling compromise that makes no one happy. Moderation is for the bland, the apologetic, for the fence-sitters of the world afraid to take a stand. It's for those afraid to laugh or cry, for those afraid to live or die. Moderation...is lukewarm tea, the devil's own brew.”
“Pain is a relatively objective, physical phenomenon; suffering is our psychological resistance to what happens. Events may create physical pain, but they do not in themselves create suffering. Resistance creates suffering. Stress happens when your mind resists what is...The only problem in your life is your mind's resistance to life as it unfolds.”
“When you begin your transcendental training, focusing your best efforts, without attachment to outcomes, you will understand the peaceful warrior's way.”

He was the Word that spake it;
He took the bread and brake it;
and what that Word did make it;
I do believe and take it.
Come and partake the gospel feast,
Be saved from sin, in Jesus rest;
O taste the goodness of our God,
and eat his flesh and drink his blood

If you are truly seeking spiritual enlightenment read and research are many different beliefs as possible. Also seek out as many people of different beliefs as possible listen closely what they have to offer and then start using your own discernment to figure out what has meaning to you and which path/s you want to follow.
