I'm 15, and I live in an area surrounded by many employment opportunities. I had my older brother in university help me create a resume. I'm definitely qualified for all the jobs I applied for; (15 applications were made.) in fact, it could be said that I'm over qualified. I'm more mentally mature than any other person my age, and I've been active in extra-curricular activities. I've also been on the honor roll my entire high school career, yet I still have trouble. I would apply to places beyond walking distance, but i want to maximize the amount of money i earn so I can start saving for college and schooling for myself. Having my dad drive me would waste money and gas is expensive. Taking the bus is time-consuming, I would not always be punctual, and the fees take away from the amount of money i can put towards my education. My family's financial situation is terrible, and I feel obligated to do my part. Right now, I'm not upset but I wish there was some sort of solution.

Finding a job is a numbers game. If you apply for a enough jobs you will get one.

What you need to do is increase your chances.

1. Your resume may be terrible. A resume for 15 year old is no the as that for a high student, or someone with experience. So write a one page resume that says what you have done and why you are working. That is important, you working to go to college, not get drinking money.

2. Work on your interview skills. Maybe you come across as arrogant. Employers want someone who does what they are told, not smart. Maybe you don't have the social skills need to impress employers.

3. Shots at goal. Cold canvass your neighbourhood. Take copies of your one page resume to every business in the area and ask to see the manager. Give them your resume and, chances are, within a week one of them will give you a call (places like KFC, McDonald's and 7/11 have huge staff turnover, so keep trying.

4. Compromise. You have might need to go outside of your immediate area for your first job. Later you may find a better job in the local area. Between now and college you can expect to have several jobs, full-time work during summer holidays.

Good luck, I am sure many local business people will support you when you tell them what you hope to do.

Our financial gadget should not be seen in restore until ultimately the foundational recommendations are adjusted to preserve the justifications it replace into confronted with failure indoors the 1st place. as at as quickly as as we've had that verbal replace, and desperate what the wisest direction of action is, then i could say could have had a restore. i could dispute the main important street grievance, this sector has seen encouraging restore, yet jointly as the shopper then relatively returns to franchise and vast chain spending, that progression will proceed to be pointless.
