At almost 9-10 weeks old, he doesn't need milk. Cow milk will probably give him an upset stomach and diarrhea as a lot of dogs are lactose intolerant. He is old enough to stay away from milk now and it's fine to just let him drink water.

The seller of this dog needs to be reported to the Humane Society in your area-no puppy or kitten is old enough to be taken away from the mother for at LEAST seven weeks after birth.PLEASE take the pup to a vet and NO MILK-just water and puppy food, dry, moistened a bit...poor wee thing-REPORT THE SELLER! Thanks,Cathy

1st Golden is a whole different dog when it comes to behavior. I take it that your dog is outside all day until U get home. The running and have to find the toy and put it in my mouth is a set pattern he has. You can try and change this by changing what u do when u let him in. Show him a treat try and get him to sit or better lay down when he comes in. Then talk & pet him why u give him little pieces of the treat. Hopefully he will catch on an this will be his rutine. Hope this helps, Ben

Cow milk is very bad for a puppy/dog, and so is human baby formula.
Your puppy doesn't need any type of milk, but a good balanced dry puppy chow instead!

If the pup has been weaned from his mother, don't feed him milk--it can cause diarrhea. Give him a good quality puppy food with plenty of fresh water.

He should not be getting any milk! He's a smart dog. Feed him a quality puppy food and forget the milk. It does not do a dogs body good!

Dogs dont drink milk. Give him some moistened dog food and some water. He was too young to be weaned from his mother. You need to return him to the breeder and ask them to keep him with the mother for another 2-4 weeks.
I imagine you paid for the dog and they were trying to get your money. They could care less what happened to the puppy.

I would start feeding him softened dry puppy food. Both Iams and Eukenuba offer excellent dry foods made just for puppies.
You can soften it with a small amount of warm water (just enough to moisten it).
After a week or so, try giving the food to him without the water (dry).

Ummm.. and you got a one month old puppy why? Puppies should ALWAYS stay with their parents until at least 10 weeks old. Good luck with pscological issues when she grows up.
