Right now nobody in this country can be drafted into the army. the draft is currently inactive. However color blind people can enlist into certain military occupational specialties. I know you can become a medic

I would think they would, since you need the skills, leadership, and the techniques to become a soldier or to be in the army. It has nothing to do with the knowledge of color, unless ur driving or something. So, most likely color blind ppl could be drafted, unless otherwise directed by the liutenant.

Drafted or enlist? Yes, a color blind person can enlist in the Army. You don't need to see color to shoot a gun.

Sorry, nope. I could be wrong but from I remember you cannot have any defects, or at least minimal. When I joined in 1993, they wanted me to be defect free. That was in peace time so during a draft they might relax requirements. If you are color blind then you would have a hard time at picking out the enemy.

They can be recruited into any force (perhaps marines and SAS excluded), However, some skills / trades require perfect 20/20 colour vision. ie pilot, sniper etc.
So yes they can be recruited to the Army, but they are limited as to what roles they can enter into.
