My absolute best guy friend hangs out with me as often as we can manage; teases me all the time; comes to dances with me and gets really depressed if anyone else asks me to dance; talks to me about everything and anything; takes time off work to do stuff with me; always comes and sits next to me and leans his head on my shoulder; etc. And yet, if anyone suggests that we're dating, he flips them off, and he told me that when his mom mentioned the 'd-word' (date) he just about died. I'm really confused about how he feels about me- friend or more. Help?

Do you want to be more than friends? If you do, then tell him! He might be secretly in love with you but too afraid to come out with it! At least it sounds like he is!
If you don't want to be any more than friends, be sure you're not leading him on by letting him lean on your shoulder, etc... Maybe try to fix him up with some other girl (if anything, it'd get the message across that you're not interested in him in that way).

sounds like a bf to me... but then again, maybe he has commitment fears or doesn't like being teased about you? it's been my experience if a guy likes spending time with you, it's a good sign... let it flow, enjoy it, and roll with it... never know, more could develop in time... (and remember, guys tend to be a little immature about the C word)... 'course he could have told you the mom deal to find out your reaction, so, do what you feel is right, but, slowly... time will tell... good luck!

yes, you are right that is mixed signals. but really do you really want to hang out with someone who acts differently when you are alone and out and about? not me. you need to be straight with him and ask him what he really thinks about you. you deserve the truth. obviously likes you because, he is excibiting jealousy when he notices someone is interested in you. he can't have it both ways, kind of making you a kept woman. and that is unfair to you. and one sided.

he sounds great but i wonder is he gay i mean guys that get on really easy with girls and at ease with them and of course usually great looking to boot get on well with us because there like us if his gay that is but if not go to the extreme and just grab him and kiss him it will either be thrilling for both or you ll definitely have some kind of answer.

i think he feels more than friendship toward you, since he gets mad when other people ask u to dance, etc. he may also just want u to himself and not want to share u with other people.
