My wedding gown is very flowing and lovely. It is an ivory color. I was planning on having a pure white and lavender wedding, but the dress was on sale and I just feel in love with it. Would having white wedding accessories such as flowers, the cake, table cloths etc. make my dress look dirty? I was thinking of having a mixture of white and cream colored flowers with some lavender mixed in. Would this look good? Should everyone in the wedding party wear ivory instead of white? How would the lavender look with the ivory? Should I go with a deeper purple?

I have ivory walls and lots of whitewashed furniture, and it looks great.
I baked a wedding cake last month that was ivory, and decorated with lavender flowers. It was absolutely lovely.

White and ivory and lavender will go very nicely together; your dress will not look dirty unless you spill something on it.

It won't make it look dirty but.........here are some suggestions.

Get ivory shoes
use champagne color table cloth with the napkins to match the girls colors

The flowers should NOT be white. Use roses if you want, but use the cream color rather than pure white. The lavender mixed in will be beautiful!

NO not deeper purple! The girls could wear lavender dresses and not ivory. They should not be in the same as you

If you mix the white, ivory and lavender into the flowers and cake, etc, I think that would look beautiful. Almost monochromatic and modern.
I don't think that it would make your dress look dirty as long as you incorporate ivory into all the other aspects.
I think that the wedding party should NOT wear white. Ivory would be ok, but I think that lavender would be best.
You could make the purple deeper, but I wouldn't. I think its going to be beautiful.
Congratulations!

If your dress is ivory then do ivory and lavender accessories. Anything white will make your dress look off. Went to a black and white wedding where the bride wore ivory instead of white. It just through everything off. Lavender and Ivory will look beautiful together.

everything that is going to be close to you for your formal wedding pictures needs to be ivory (such as your veil earrings shoes etc) and flowers as well (just lavender and ivory in the boquet for you)

Bridemaids need to be in a totally different color (so they don't blend in with your dress while standing next to you) so lavender for the bridesmaids dresses definatley.

As for the reception the color of the table cloths and cake that is totally up to you. You will look stunning in your dress and they will have already seen that your dress is ivory during the ceremony so no one will even think that it is dirty looking so go ahead and keep your colors white and lavender.

Don't worry about it, because it's not like people are going to be holding up your invitation to your dress to see if they match...it's something only you and maybe a wedding planner would notice. If it bothers you, here's a wild idea - switch out the tablecloths to ivory and keep all the other stuff white. You'd be surprised what a nice contrast it can be, especially if it's a rich ivory. You can try out the theory at your local party store...or even a print shop that has lots of paper stocks to see if you're comfortable with that. I would recommend ivory shirts for the guys because they will be up close to you.

I would go with ivory table cloths. Put the wedding party in lavender or ivory--not white.
White & Cream flowers will be great.
The cake can be white or butter cream.

At Davids briadl try colors like lilac, victorian Lilac or wild orchid, all will go great with ivory

Go for ivory, creams and champagne colors. Those look so elegant together.
