I live in Australia, and thank the Goddess, i never heard of this distasteful man until he died. Can you please email me and refer me to a site where he did this? I would be very interested!!
Also i would like to mention this annoying little habit, that many christians have of saying..."But at least he repented"....This has got to be one of the most ludicrous things ever said....It's like "oh today i will kill my annoying neighbour, ....but its cool....i will just repent and ask for forgiveness tomorrow"....I will never understand that!!!
Blessings to you and yours!

Mr Falwell has not been Christ like in his actions. Would Jesus have joined a Worldly political Group. (he was no part of that world) The answers to this worlds problems are now coming with the incoming world government (Christs Kingdom for which we have prayed for centuries (Math 6:10) the only answer to man kinds problems, 911 included. (Daniel 2:44 is for our day)
Religion".has always been a main part of the problem not the solution (Babylon the great Rev 18:2) along with big business ,(traveling Merchants Rev 18:3) and man made Governments. (the Political Beast upon which the Harlot Bab.the great. rides)
Man is incapable of governing himself (Jeremiah 10:23) as history has proven and as Adam and Eve proved.
Thanks for listening

I think I speak on behalf of many Christians, although not all, when I say that I found that comment completely reprehensible. I find many of the people prominent in the right wing Christian movement have views that completely diverge from my own, and as a Christian, I cringe a little everytime someone assumes that these people speak for all of us. However, I think there is something to be said for respecting the dead. Jerry Falwell was ignorant, and he spent a large portion of his life fighting on behalf of a political party that doesn't espouse many of the values I associate with Jesus. But, he was merely a man who made mistakes, and said foolish things, like plenty of other people in the public eye.

Jerry Falwell did not speak for all Christians. As a matter of fact, I did not agree with hardly anything he said.

While it may not have been the most well thought out comment and a national television program may not have been the best venue I believe what he said was basically right. God will never remove his protecting hand from us. However, when we says that its perfectly ok to be homosexual, atheist or pagan (and etc) we move just a little further outside Gods loving protection.

I think it was wrong for him to place the blame of 9/11 on other people. They had nothing to do with it; the perpetrators were Muslim extremists with a death wish for themselves as well as the rest of America.

Wow, Martin Luther declared that Islam is "Gods Retribution" for Christian Sins in this world ?
“As early as 1518, Dr. Martin Luther had identified the Islamic faith as the "retribution of God."
For the rest of his life Luther believed that the Muslims were God's punishment upon a sinful Christendom who had, among other sins (ingratitude, toleration of wicked sects, worship of the god Mammon, drunkenness, greed, and the split of Christendom which had provoked His wrath), tolerated the papal abomination. They would function as Germany's schoolmaster who must correct and teach the German people to repent of their sins and to fear God.”

I blame OBL and other lunatic Muslims for 9/11, but Falwell was entitled to his opinion. I believe in freedom of speech.
****EDIT: God help America when telling the truth and believing in freedom of speech gets thumbs down!!
God Bless.

Well we do live in a very diverse world, and there is of necessity the need to categorize people into this or that belief, religion, political party, economic class, etc.
I don't know if they were pagans as Falwell claims, but they were certainly members of some group or class of people with a corporate identity.
