Well, when you're born the 1st time, you're born into a world of sin. When you die once, it's when you give your life away to Jesus Christ. Have you ever heard the saying "crucified with Christ"? There is a verse in the Bible that says "It's not I that lives, but Christ that lives in me". When you're born for the second time, it means you're saved ( you accept Christ into your heart). So, you were born twice and died once. So, when you accept Christ, you die, but yet, you're born again spiritually. Get it? Awsome, huh?

Man has three options - those who are born once and die twice, that is to live without Christ and suffer the 2nd death which is Hell. Then there are those who born twice and die once that is those who are born again, born of God, born of the Spirit (John 3) and then die and go to heaven. Then there are those who are born twice and die not at all. That is they are those who are born again and at the rapture are immediately translated from this life to eternal life in Heaven.

We were born into this world and we will die and then we will raised up again on the Day of Judgment ... so born twice died once if we go to Paradise as there will be no more dieing after that, except those who will be going to hell ..... they will die and live perpetually after the day of Judgment.
Actually they will say in Hell to God "Our lord you have given us life twice and made us die twice, is there any way out" .. the answer will be "You forgot ME in your first life and I will forget you now ... so taste the Penalty of the Fire"

Jesus told Nichodemus , 'ye must be born again' of the water and of the spirit.....1st time is physical, 2nd time is spiritual...and 'it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment'

To me, it means you have a physical birth (when you come into the world) and a spiritual rebirth (when you find God) and you can only die a single physical death.... I hope that makes sense.

it means you are born once physicallly (like in this life) and spiritually (like in the next life)
And you die once (in the physical life moving to the spirtual life)
