Ur totally right! When Jesus came, He taught us that God loves us and just wants to be with us. And He was when Jesus came to earth. In the Bible it said that "Jesus was fully God and fully man". So, when Jesus came to earth, He was God in human form. And He taught us that we could have hope in Him because He died for us. And He give us hope that we can go with Him to His perfect paradice and live in His light for eternity! He gives us peace when we're restless. He gives us comfort when we need a shoulder to cry on. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He's my counselor, my Lord, my Savior, my strength, my rock, my foundation, and my light when I can't see the end of the tunnel. He's my everything. I hope that's how you feel. Cuz that's how I feel.

Jesus said he came to the earth to tell people about God's kingdom that would one day be set up over all the earth.
He gave us the Lord's prayer to let us know it was proper to pray for God's kingdom to come and his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Read it over it is a real govenment with Jesus Christ as king of that kingdom.

Yes, you are right. We should be beatitude Christians.
The Beatitudes
1Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2and he began to teach them saying:
3"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Christianity is not a religion of the Book (Bible) it is a religion of the Word (Jesus). The Beatitudes teaches us how to be "Christ Bearers" in our little corner of the world.
Peace and blessings!

My life is hell... why doesn't Jesus save me too ? He's a picky little man isn't he ! And don't tell me I have to ask him into my heart - I tried that and it doesn't work. Yeah, obviously something wrong with me... I know, I know.

He was trying to tell people to ignore the similar but much earlier stories of Horus and Mithras.

Actually, Jesus wrote no books of the Bible, so no one knows what he was trying to tell mankind.
