If you are not gerally a good or bad person, than what are you.......I don't think I've ever met a person that was 50% of both.......If anyone really knew the truthful answer to this question, then there would be know reason for them to even ask it......No-one has ever come back from the dead to tell us the answer ( except maybe JESUS)......What was his answer to this ? Live the best life you can possibly live....be as kind and as good as you can be......JUST IN CASE THE BEKIEVERS ARE RIGHT AND THE NON-BEKIEVERS ARE WRONG.......If the Non-believers are right , then it won't make any difference......Who says that just because there may be no heaven or no hell that we should allow ourselves to be evil..... evil exists here on earth and I don'y see how it does anyone any good at all......Good exist and it does much more good for mankind than evil does........when has the evils of greed and selfishness benefitted anyone except the one that was greedy and/or selfish.....We live in a world amongst others.....we can't afford to be evil towards each other .....evil only causes chaos and dis-order and pain and heartache.....good creates a feeling of well being ,. and that is what is needed to survive this time that we all share here on earth and in our lives......sometimes I wish that all the people that ask this question would all drop dead and the come back to let us know what happened to them....only then would they share in the knowledge of what really happens.....or.....mAybE....Not!!!!!!........Who gives a rat's a**?.....

Does it matter? You asked the question. Do you think about not being a good person or not being an evil person? Is there one you prefer to be?
Nothing is intrinsically good or evil, its manner of usage it makes it so - Quote Anonymous
If you belief in God, than I hope that means you believe in love of all God's children. That includes yourself and is always the hardest for people. Your creator would not send you to hell for not being perfect. That is the whole point.

It's not a matter of being as evil as possible; instead, as you admit, you are not good enough.

Romans 3:10
as it is written,
"THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;"

How good would be enough?
How good would you have to be?
Mark 10:18
And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone."

You can't be THAT good, indeed you can't be good at all!
That is the good news:
Romans 5:6
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

It's not possible for you to be good enough, or even good (Jesus said). Instead Jesus died for your sins while you were still helpless. Helpless like a baby!

While you may not be as evil as some, or even a criminal, neither are you good enough.

The rest of the good news is this:
Romans 5:7-10
7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Romans 10:8-10
8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART" -- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

You can do this!
A -- Accept that you are a sinner
B -- Believe in Jesus
C -- Confess Jesus as your Lord & Savior

It can't be that black and white. It's probably more like a gradient in a long spectrum. We don't just live to barely squeeze by, unless you believe that sort of thing...

I think God is just, and made those terms (heaven and hell) to help simple people understand what the heck will happen after they die (no pun intended).

One could say that the concepts of 'heaven' and 'hell' are pagani concepts ADOPTED INTO christianity. In the older hebrew texts people, where good or bad, all go to Shoel, kinda a LImbo type of place that is Separate from god.

Hello and no salvation is not a matter of stacking enough points so you can go, its a "gift" now it does have conditions "IF" you Love me [then] keep my commandments because God LOVES YOU [John 3:16] but its your love that is in question in the Judgment going on NOW, and you can not earn salvation, and satan in James 2:19 believes there is a God and trembles, its not about belief, its BE-LIVING that counts you said your not a evil person allow me to point out when Adam and Eve sinned they as it were pulled the plug on Life and Jesus Christ the second member of The Godhead gave His life to plug it back in, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org email me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

We are not saved or condemned on the merits of our morality, good or bad. We are all sinners in need of a Savior (Romans 3:22-24). We are saved "By God's GRACE ALONE, through FAITH in Jesus Christ ALONE, as written in SCRIPTURE ALONE." (Ephesians 2:8-9).

When I say "Jesus Christ" I mean the Jesus of the Bible, not some made up fairy tale. The one who took upon Himself the sin of the whole world & its consequences of death.

The means by which God chooses to establish & maintain a relationship with us is through His Word (The Bible) & Sacrament (Baptism & Communion). It's best talk to a real pastor. I suggest finding an LCMS congregation: http://www.lcms.org/locators/nchurches/church.asp

You could be the worst person in the world and still go to heaven. you could be the best person in the world and go to hell.
Going to heaven or hell is not based on wither you were a good or bad person. Its if you trust in Christ and ask him to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins. is the only way to heaven.
