Is there any way to reduce stuttering besides therapy? Therapy is too expensive. Any natural meds, or somethin'.?

I have several uncles and cousins who used to stutter. Only one could afford speech therapy with a therapist who specialized in treating stuttering. The others either couldn't afford it or didn't have one near where they lived. All of them got the book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" from The Stuttering Foundation and worked through the steps diligently over and over until they overcame their stuttering with only slight reoccurances during times of extreme stress. The book can often be found in public libraries but only costs a couple dollars from the nonprofit Foundation that was started by a stutterer and has been around for 60 years.

Heard that "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" works if you are willing to put the time and effort into going through the steps. A friend got that book at the library. There is a trial study going on with pagoclone.

Tell you somethin great. You are already aware of problem that you have, and thats the first step. Second step, know that you must mentally slow down to stop stuttering. This querk if one can say that you must be very intelligant for your lips to keep up with thoughts are difficult. Have no worries, being smart thats what its about.

One of the most succesful treatments has been singing, not sure why but it has worked well. Just start small and by yourself, it does not matter what you sing but rhyming tunes seem to work best.
Good Luck

Deliberately slow down your speech, think about each word, then pronounce it (practise in a mirror). Try putting some marbles in your mouth.( www.stuttering.com = $$$! ).
