He was nailed to the cross and I believe he was in his early thirties.

1. Jesus wasn't stapled to the cross, he was nailed there. The "nails" were actually about half the size of a rail tie. The Romans were serious about their victims STAYING on their crosses! They also didn't have staples (a modern invention).

2. Jesus was about 32 or 33 years old at the time of His crucifixion.

Actually, he wasn't stapled, he was nailed to the cross. Apparently he was crucified between the years of 27 and 33 CE to which the CE started as a measurement of time. Jesus may have been a few years old before the CE started, thereby making him betwee the ages of 30 to 36 years old.

33 as others have said. In ancient times, nails were hand forged one at a time, and look nothing like a nail does today. More like railroad spikes. Take a moment to imagine if you will, Having a railroad spike driven though your wrist into a tree. ( evidence points to crucifixions nailing through the wrist as the hands alone would sometimes tear through. More bones in the wrist) Now, time for the other wrist...a few whacks, then on to the legs....most historians believe the two feet were crossed as depicted in many illustrations, with a spike twice as long. More whacks were needed to get through more meat and bone. Now, the post is raised and Jesus hangs there dying slowly ( that was a part of the fun for the Romans....it took a LONG time to die in agony).
Making a joke about "stapled" to the cross?? It is in bad taste to mock such a serious murder method.

Just like everyone else I am gonna say 33, and point out the fact that he was nailed, not stapled to the cross.
