i might be getting a rat terrior puppy next week and i was just wondering what i should expect!!!!!!!!...

I had a rat terrier but i had to give him to another owner because of aggression problems

My friends have two rat terriers, and they are just the cutest things ever! They are very friendly dogs, like jumping a lot, and are really really really really hyper. One of their (my friends two dogs) favorite things to do is tear at both ends of a tug-o-war rope. They love those tiny bone treats and they're usually easy to care for. If you scratch their bellies a lot, they will love you forever...^^

I'm not a little dog person, but my sister's rat terriers have been two of my favorite dogs.
Yes, they are hyper dogs and they will chase squirrels, but all of the ones that I have known have been smart, loyal, loving, friendly dogs.

I had a rat terrier too that i also had to rehome because of constant barking ,food agression and the fact that she tried to kill every squirrel in a 100 mile radius of us . and she did not like other dogs . It was a mess . good luck .

When they are growing up they tend to get into everything and they spend most of there time investigating. Odebience classes are always good for dogs like them, they are quick learners and you will learn how to control them. Also give them lots of noisy toys to keep them busy.
