Don't join the military until you find out or not if you can pass there flight physical. You will also need a college degree. The military will pay for your college but make sure you enlist as an officer or ROTC. Do not join the enlisted side because some recruiter said you do this and then become an officer. I know because that is what I am working on now. The Air Force seems to get treated the best from what I have seen. I wish you luck in becoming a pilot

I can only speak for Army.
First you must take the ASVAB. Its just a general aptitude test and achieve a GT Score of at least 110.
Second, you have to figure out your enlistment options. Pilots can only be Commissioned Officers or Warrant Officers. You must have a 4 year degree to be a Commissioned Officer. What you will do is enlist into the OCS (Commissioned) or WOCS (Warrant) option, go through basic as an E-4 and then attend OCS or WOCS. Or you can enlist into any MOS and after going through that training and spending some time in that MOS, you have until age 27 (thats the cutoff age for aviation) to get your packet in for OCS or WOCS and then branch Aviation and then you will be able to go to Flight school if eligible.
Either way, after completing OCS or WOCS and branching Aviation, you will have to pass a flight physical and the AFAST (Alternate Flight Aptitude Selection Test) before you can go to flight school.
To pass the flight physical - Perfect health. Vision correctable to 20/20 but not worse that I believe 20/50. (LASIK and PRK eye surgery can be waivered)
Schools: OCS is about 3 months long and then you will have to do a few secondary courses (not sure). WOCS is 6 weeks long. Flight school is 9 months long.
And then you are an Army Aviator

When I was accepted to flight school in the navy, they said only about 1 person in 100 gets accepted. The people that were accepted were mostly science majors or engineers. About 1/4 were eliminated when their eyes were examined carefully. The school, as illustrated in the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" was pretty brutal both physically and mentally. I was also in the infantry and this was vastly more difficult even physically. Some people panic when dumped upside down under water but most people that made it that far, went on. I can only speak about the Navy, but you won't make it unless you are very dedicated and prepared.

A qualified person can easily become a military pilot as long as he pass all the examinations and requirements.

Get in line.
My husband taught at USNA and every Mid you talked to wanted to be a pilot. You had to be at the top of your class in order to go to flight school after commissioning.
The helicopters were a little easier... not as much demand, so you could be farther down the class ranking...
