well i go on the computer ALOT. but I just turn it on i don't like go on myspace and aim like 49 hours a week. But my compuer is on like 49 hours a week. And my dumb cousin said i can become retarded!!!! you can only be born with a mental problem right?? If not. can you atleast still be all right having your computer on like 40 hours a week. [ but I'm not in front of the computer during lthat time just like half of a half of the time ]

It all depends on what you do on the PC. It can be a great tool for so many things.

Mental retardation is a medical condition where a person has an IQ below 70. It can be caused by trauma at birth, genetics, or accident after birth but before age eighteen.
You would not become mentally retarded by spending too much time on MySpace or a computer, just you are limiting areas of learning and socialization.
You are not socializating, a human and canine trait, when online like when you are face to face with other people. You are not studying for school. You are not learning from TV shows like the news.
So tell you cousin to get smart. And you get smart and turn the computer off, gotalk with friends face to face, ride a bike, read a book, or play a game.
