This is not a casual inquiry. I have some of my own work I'd like done by a professional inker and not some wanna-be. Artist should be adept in translating custom designs and high-quality shading. Facility must meet standards for tool sterility and other common health/safety practices.

Online portfolio or website would be appreciated (even 360, Tribe, or MySpace will do) . Artist must have good refs. I'm willing to do modest travel for the right tat genius. Thanks in advance.

there is an artist in little rock named chris thomas who is pretty good. i don't like that he uses black shading around some of the tattoos that he does but i think he does it because that's what his wife wants (they are her tattoos) anyway, here is a link. he and my tattoo artist are friends.

The pain issue really depends on your level of tolerance! Naval piercings hurt a little at the time of the puncture and remain sore for a while. The inside of the wrist is a pretty tender place to get a tattoo. Just FYI you might want to think about what kind of job that you plan on having in the future. Most high paying jobs frown on visible tattoos. Maybe someday that will change. But as for now do you want that to be an issue that limits what you can wear or what kind of job you can get? In the U.S. you must have parental consent to legally get a tattoo if you are under the age of 18. Tattoos all hurt but again it depends on where you get them and what your level of pain tolerance as to how much they hurt.

I know this is out of your way, but Underground Art in Memphis is wonderful. They've been voted best of memphis for 10 years straight. I will only go to them for my body mods. They're very safe when it comes to your health. When I had my back scarred, he closed off the room and cleaned the entire room before we could go in there. He autoclaved EVERYTHING. You can message them and they usually message back soon. Just an idea...
