Very good. My Wife and I are Jehovah's Witnesses and we also know that hell is the grave. Job prayed to go there when he was under trial and Jesus went to hell when he died. Jesus went to the grave and was dead for three days.
Sheol and Hades are the key words people need to do some research on so they understand that hell is only the grave.

Good one!
Jesus said: : “A wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. Men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it; because they repented at what Jonah preached, but, look! something more than Jonah is here. Matthew 12:39-41 Jesus literally went to hell or the grave, while the belly of that whale would have become Jonah's grave had God not intervened after his repentance.

Jonah is using figurative language and the word translated as "hell" is really sheol meaning the place of the dead.
Jonah 2:1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell (sheol) cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
še’ōl: A noun meaning the world of the dead, Sheol, the grave, death, the depths. The word describes the underworld but usually in the sense of the grave and is most often translated as grave.
If you want to find out what hades or hell is like then look to a passage where it is described by Jesus.
Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell (hades) he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

WHO WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE GRAVE HELL
Acts 2:27-35; John 19:38-42; Jesus was resurrected out of the sepulchre,
Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
David was still there in sepulchre, tomb, cave, grave hell that he was placed in.
As in Rev.20:1-6,12,13; No Satan and the resurrection is from every place even death. 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53; As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall
[ ALL ], all be made alive. Acts 17:31; 24:15 Resurrection od just and unjust.
Heb.9:27; It is appointed unto man once to die and after this the judgement.
2Cor.5:10; Rom 14:9-12; Philip.2:5,9-12; As promised in Isa.65:17; 66:22;
There is the heavenly for the new heavens and the earthly for the new earth, when earth is cleansed the perfect remain. Rev.21:1-5, 8; Rev.22:14;

True, he had been in Hell, it did not say if it was the belly of the whale
Maybe the whale spit him up in the bottom of the sea and he went into hell

uhhh don't you think he meant it figuratively- because his escape "separated" him from fellowship with God? it was only temporary & he wasn't even actually dead!
