a miracle is like when one has cancer and has not much time live and people pray for this person and the person is healed. A miracle is the birth of a baby. A miracle is something that no one can explain not the dr's or anyone else, a miracle is something that no man can do, so the only One who can do such things would be God in my eyes anyways

A miracle occurs when someone's heart is changed from being cruel, hateful, self-centered and so on to being loving, patient and compassionate.
A miracle isn't a situation where the physical laws of the universe appear to be overcome. For the whole functioning of the physical universe is a miracle in itself. Just take a good look at the immensity of space. That this physical universe can do amazing things beyond our understanding is something to be expected, and it shouldn't be called a miracle.
But if a human being finds the inner courage to move from self-centeredness, which is the world of darkness, into the universal reality of light, love and truth, then it is a miracle, and all creation rejoices.

What I was taught was that a miracle is something that has no scientific explanation.
Take my husband's medical condition. He had the top surgeon in the world, and my husband is still the only person who has survived the surgery with none of the typical side effects. And we've met several people who had the same tumor removed. The doctor to this day still cannot explain why my husband has no side effects. To me, the fact that my husband can now lead a fairly normal life, 9 years later, is a miracle. It just might be that God had a hand in his recovery and the situation that led him to that doctor.
But I'm sure that the skeptics will find some reason to discredit this being the hand of God. But he also had an estimated 250K people praying for wisdom and direction for the doctors in removing the tumor. What is left of the tumor has died and never regrown. Coincidence or God's work in my husband's life?

A miracle is ones own perception. I used to think that miracles were only like 'Jesus walking on water' - but now I see miracles all the time. A baby being born, seeing someone laugh that never laughs, people overcoming all odds, put a seed in the ground and watch it grow...... miracles are all around, you just have to be open in order to recognize them. The way I used to think and the way I think now...That Is A Miracle!

A miracle, derived from the old Latin word miraculum meaning "something wonderful", is a striking interposition of divine intervention by a god in the universe by which the ordinary course and operation of Nature is overruled, suspended, or modified. Although many religious texts and people confirm witnessing or prophesying various events which they refer to as "miraculous", it is disputed whether there are scientifically confirmed occurrences of miracles[citation needed][1]. People in different faiths have substantially different definitions of the word "miracle". Even within a specific religion there is often more than one usage of the term.
Sometimes the term "miracle" may refer to the action of a supernatural being that is not a god. Thus, the term "divine intervention", by contrast, would refer specifically to the direct involvement of a deity.
In casual usage, "miracle" may also refer to any statistically unlikely but beneficial event, (such as the survival of a natural disaster) or even to anything which is regarded as "wonderful" regardless of its likelihood, such as birth.

It is another form of knowledge. There is no miracle. Our computer with the Internet is a miracle for a cave man but not for us.
