I will be studying in the USA during 1 year , so I need a 4x4 autombile , that I will be able to resell a year after I bought it loosing the minimum amount of money on the transaction.

Of course I need it to be reliable during the year I own it.
What is the oldest model I should get, Are there 1 year used car leases? Will certified Pre Own lose a lot of its value when I try to resell the car?

Thanks

Some of the car rental companies like Enterprise will sometimes do 1 year leases on new vehicles. They will be expensive, but it is an alternative.

Another thing to do is to buy a 2-3 year old used vehicle that has under 36,000 miles and still is under warranty. You'll probably lose $2k-$3k in a year plus possible sales tax, depending on your state. In Georgia, you pay no sales tax on private party sales. If you buy a Japanese vehicle, your resale will be the best. Good Luck!

If you can arrange a one year lease on a used car I'd suggest that. However if you feel you have to buy, then definitely buy used instead of new. You probably don't want to get anything more than 5-7 years old. But it depends a lot on the mileage and condition of the car. A newer car with much higher mileage may not be a better deal. If you're leasing, I'd steer clear of doing any off roading, any damage done will have to be paid for when you return the vehicle. If you just want the 4x4 for snow and ice on the street, look into a car with AWD, it would be cheaper to run and give you the four wheeled traction.

Some hotels will not allow an 18 year old to check in. Many do, but you will need your own credit card-not debit or bank card. You can not rent a car at the age of 18 in the US. Public transportation in the US is not too good. You will find big cities have very good public transportation within the city. but there are just too many places to name. Do you like sports, history, shopping, theme parks, musical shows, museums

Why on earth do you need a 4 x 4? Are you planning to travel off-road? They're heavier than their two-wheel drive counterparts, thus use more gas. Fuel is quite expensive here now, though I'm not sure which country you're coming from. At any rate, the best-selling models should have the best resale value.

try to lease a subaru if possible. great all wheel drive car. if you are looking for 4x4, an FJ cruiser or some pickups or jeeps would probably be good.

if you buy a car, you will loose money. Just lease a vehicle and you dont have to deal with selling a car cause that can be a ***** to accomplish.
