Some people check their registries daily to see what guests have bought so far. Do you?

A text message every time a gift is purchased? Geez. That sounds greedy.

i'm getting married in two months and haven't looked at my registry at all yet. i want to be suprised when i open the gifts...

I check every few weeks to see if any thing's gone because i don't have a lot on my registries so i don't know if i need to add more or if people will just find a gift outside my registry.

I checked it a couple of times. I certainly didn't do it daily! The weirdest thing that happened to my registry was things started appearing that I didn't ask for... but I didn't get them! I guess people printed the wrong registry.

I have the feeling I will check mine, even though part of me will want to be surprised! I'm the kind of person who reads the last page of a book first, so I guess I will check the registry...we'll be doing that in September, so I guess I'll find out soon enough!

I'll admit to checking my registry. I didn't do it daily though, just once or twice a few weeks before my shower. It's fun/exciting to see things begin to disappear from the registry!

Daily seems a little greedy, but it is fun to see what is coming. How about letting the packages just come and enjoy the surprise. We get so few fun surprises in life and so many around a wedding. just sit back and let the fun wash over you.

Our honeymoon registry has a cool little feature so you don't need to check it....we send a text message announcing each gift to your cell phone!
Of course, we also send an email announcement with the photo from your registry, and the guest's personal message to you, etc.
(I'm co-founder of TheBigDay, and actually I wrote that text messaging feature too :-)

i check mine every once in a while just b/c im curious. i already know what my mom is getting me and what my MOH and her mom and sister are getting me so im really not that concerned

I think it is tacky to register at all.
