I'm gonna say yes, it has to be hotter than that- I lived in Scottsdale,AZ where it gets up to 118 degrees, and I am positive that hot as it was, it definitely wasn't hell. And besides, all those people the christians keep saying will wind up in hell weren't there- so that proves it.

Accrding to Islam:
Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The fire which the son of Adam has is only one-seventieth part of the Fire of Hell. His Companions said: By Allah, even ordinary fire would have been enough (to burn people). Thereupon he said: It is sixty-nine parts in excess of (the heat of) fire in this world each of them being equivalent to their heat.
