My girlfriend and I have been going out for about 7 months now, we love each other very much. Well recently this guy who lives in Texas is coming back to our hometown and he wants to hang out with her, she says they were really good friends in high school. But I don't like the fact that she will be alone with this guy, and I saw his myspace and he looks like the flirtish type since he doesnt have a girlfriend but his top 8 are all females. So I asked if I could come along, and my girlfriend says that no because he will feel uncomfortable with me there, he just wants to hang out with her. I was thinking of breaking up with her for this cuz I really dont like her going alone with another guy, I mean I can understand a group thing, but the fact that I can't come along and at least meet this guy really bothers me. Its not that I dont trust her, I just dont trust him. Am I taking this to seriously, should I break up with her, or just let her go out with this dude who I think likes her?

I completely understand your fear. Trust is a hard thing to manage in relationships sometimes, and perhaps you could have said to your girlfriend "So you would rather me be uncomfortable with you guys being alone, than him be uncomfortable because I'm there?"
I had guy friends from high school and at first my boyfriend was upset, but once he met them and realized that you know, they're my dorky guy friends, he was fine with it. But he trusts me. Do you have a reason not to trust her?
It sounds like you don't trust her, more than you have a problem with the guy. After all, if something did happen it's only because she wanted it to, and that's where the real problem is.

Ask yourself this question. Do you trust her? If you can honestly say you trust her then you shouldn't worry about her hanging out with the guys. If it really bugs you, talk to her about it.

who cares if you cant trust him --- do you trust her??? if so then get over it let her go enjoy and be happy for her --- because she came back to you

let her go, but the next time they go out you go to, he could be your friend to if nothing is going on.
