Are you supposed to shave pubic hair?

I live with my dad, so I can't really ask him. I'm going through puberty and Its all kinda new to me!

u can trim it, shave it or leave it...when i hit puberty i shaved all mine & still do to this day...i like it!!!

It's not really an are you supposed to. It all depends on what you want, and or what feels better to you. Some people like to have it off (if you wear a bikini, then yeah) some people just trim it a lil and some people just leave it how it is. It's a personal decision, even though you seem young, so if I where you I would just leave it for now until you get a little older. Hope this helped : )

If you're just getting it, then it may be too early to be worrying about it, so don't stress! It's no fun anyhow. But if you're worried about your bikini line during the summer, a dilapitory (hair removal) cream would work really well and it's painless. The hair's there to protect you though, so be careful about how much you take off! Good luck

Some girls like to shave it for the same reason they shave their legs and armpits- they find it attractive. I know some girls who do, and who don't and I guess it's just about what you want. there is no rule that says you have to shave anything, and nobody sees your private area but you so you only have to do it if you want to.

Everybody get rid of their pubic hair nowadays. A brazilian wax is the best, but at least shave it. It's cleaner smoother and sexier.

i wouldn`t.
you can if you want, but can you imagine razor burn and everything on your crotch?!!? i did one time....and it itched and burned like WHOA. i never did it again....and it wasn`t even the whole thing either.....i would just reccomend keeping it, or getting the cremes or a wax, because i wouldn`t want all the pain..and especially if a guy like sees you scratching your vagina! ahaha. yikes.
