my mom never believes half of the things i say. i tell her i am bi-polar, she says, no you arent! i feel as though i need to go to the dr. even a dr note/prescription wouldnt help, i feel like she wouldnt pay for the medication. i recently hurt my ankle in my softball game, and she says, oh you will be fine and has me doing chores around the house, while my ankle is in pain. now my father did lie/cheat on her when they were together so could she have a trust issue? she thinks im just trying to get attention. what do i do? how can i get her to listen to me?

Go to your school nurse and tell them exactly what you have said here. Maybe your mom needs to be reminded by another adult what her responsibilities are.

The school can also help make sure you get the medical care that you need.

If you're more comfortable talking to your softball coach, you should do that, too.

SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then duck and cover.
When she calms down tell her with tears in your eye I need help.
Talk to your guidance counselor if she doesn't listen, parents hate to have outside parties involved. She may have a lot of issues but so do you. Your sure your not seeking for attention.

First off........you didn't say your age or agenda........playing softball I am guessung you are a female in middle school or high school, though I may be wrong..............But you cannot diagnose yourself as bi-polar.......leave that to the professionals...........your Mom may have trust issues...................but you might want to give her a break...........how do you know she is applying that to you...............I doubt it she is just being a Mom................you are just being an adolescent................and have all those issues that adolescents have...................Talk to her .........you will be surprised .............................show her this answer ...it may help..................Tommy
