When are some times it's especially appropriate to act and be silly?

When your out dancing, or partying in general.

Whenever you're in a non-serious place.

I don't know if this really qualifies as silly, but I was out dancing with friends, and this guy was asking women to dance.

His "dancing style" was to run back and forth and diagonally across the dance floor.

I watched my friends dancing in their little areas, looking awkward at his zooming by (it was Wednesday, so the place was pretty empty).

So when he asked me to dance, I decided to go for it.

I didn't exactly run, but I was doing all these wild dances across the floor, criss-crossing all over, passing him now and then.

It probably looked silly (my friends were cracking up), but it was the most fun dancing I've ever had, and I LOVE to dance.

Appropriate silly acts may include but are not limited to:
1)Singing Wiggles songs loudly in the store with my 5 yr old.
2)Dancing while chaperoning an elementary school dance and teaching the 4th grade class--the funky chicken, the twist, the monkey and a very odd form of the Hustle.
3)While reading to small children and doing great voices and facial expressions for them.
4)At a watermelon seed spitting contest!
5)At the County Fair it is appropriate to jump up and down sqealing that your biscuits finally won a ribbon!
6)Pretending to be a water monster at the public swimming pool and doing cannonballs for the kids--My husband does those.

Any time with children and family and friends that it enhances the experience......Life is far too short to be too serious all the time.
