Ak47....duh.......

Remember, shotshells are 25 to the box, 9mm usually has 50. Comparing inexpensive practice ammo in both, I think you'll find 9mm cheaper round for round. The least expensive 9mm runs $10-$12 for 50. I don't think you'll find shotshells for $5-$6 for 25. Correction: I found some, so they are about the same. Shotgun may be a tad more but not enough to matter.

shotgun got the power and you can shoot down a tree...but a Ak47 can shoot a crap load of bullets within seconds....so I think the shotgun is more fun because the damage is easier to see.

depends what sort of shotgun. The usas-12 shotgun can go full auto with a 20 round drum of 12ga shells.72 buckshot pellets a second makes an Ak-47 look pretty lame....

Well, I love firing full auto, but you probably don't have a full auto AK. It depends on what you enjoy shooting. Skeet and trap can be a fun activity, as is hunting. Shotguns are more versitile like that. If you just want to shoot junk cars and stuff, the AK would be better.

That is an Apples versus Pineapples question.

both can be lots of fun.

Not many more things are more enjoyable than shooting quail over a good dog with a fine double-barreled shotgun.

Then again, shooting a magazine full of 7.62x39 mm Soviet as fas as you can pull the trigger is lots of fun as well.
