"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"

BugsandSweety, Thank you. You're pretty "cool" for getting that.

Feeling convicted? God doesn't depend on whether one "believes" or not. He IS, whether or not.

aful,
Every bit of knowledge, every bit of intelligence we gain, every complex algorithm, mathematical models, etc. It all points to a ALL KNOWING GOD. The God that WE worship.

mariah, The laws we see are NOT man-made though. They are put there by God himself. It's just that man is so full of pride, tht he does not give God the glory. Instead he boast in what he has discovered about what God has created.

Ben,
Paul told it like it is. We are without excuse when we say there is no God or Creator when we can plainly see evidences of His order in His creation. Consider the makeup of the human eye and how it sees; the male and female reproductive organs and how they could possibly have been generated by random chance; the complexity of the human brain and nervous system; the DNA code with its millions of "words" telling the body how to build itself -- we simply have no excuse saying there is no God.

triple, Thanks for your response. I have not part with the Catholic church OR any of the many diverse "protestant" denominations. I'm just a simple new testament Christian. And I respect your views.

absolutely! i think you have a cool way in wording your statement. many people think that you have to chose science or god, but that's not true. you can believe in both! except, i don't believe that we come from apes. lots of evidence for that theory, but i am a drop-dead christian, so i believe god created us. God is an amazing god, and the things he has made is just, breath-taking. how could someone design all the animals, the nature, just everything? i don't know, i just accept it!

science and knowledge in general DOES prove that God is. to all of these intellectualist that responded to your question, all of you are arrogant fools who know absolutely nothing about the magesty of the MOST HIGH. as a mattrer of fact you are exo-genetic in nature and therefore could never submit to divine truth because the truth is not in you. that simple. 666 deals with a false wisdom, a false science, and a false culture. think about it. what did the roman catholic church do in the time of the emporer constantine. what did prostestant movement do? since you are so educated, you should know these things don't you think. or is it that the university you went to did not teach you these things. so how could you claim to know?? the holy quran speaks of science and God (allah) being one. science is a word which means to know. how did your civilization get it's education? read your history stupid, and stop being biased about God, before it's all said and done in your sorry *** life you will be screaming for divine assistance.

Sure, if you want to take it that way. But, remember, there is no scientific theory out there that relies on the existence of a god in order to work. If science were to further show all those things, then one would expect that science would be incomprehensible without god.

Absolutely true! I remember taking an anatomy and physiology course and being completely overwhelmed with the incredible human body and its eloquent testimony to our creator. About half way through the quarter, the professor showed a super computer simulation of a ribosome producing a protein strand, and it was so awe inspiring to watch that incredible molecular machine that I was moved to tears.

Only if you see god like Jefferson saw him. As a watchmaker that made the watch set it into motion and backed off. I think god created evolution. Why else do you not see another intelegent species?

If that were true, I would think that as our scientific knowledge increased, we'd become more and more religious.

In fact, the opposite has occurred. Scientific progress has come hand-in-hand with increasing secularism and religious skepticism.

Now if you could just prove that God exists, and not just conjecture about His handiworks, you'd have an argument.

No; they show nothing of the sort. In fact, the evidence persuasively shows that no sort of god had anything to do with it. See:
